Ben Crane has just aced the 160-yard 13th hole with an 8-iron. The hole-in-one has propelled him to 8 under and into a tie for fourth, four strokes behind Bryce Molder.
Crane’s making red numbers in bunches Friday. He birdied the first three holes on putts of 11, 11 and 16 feet, and he has played the first four holes on the back nine in 4 under.
Crane made a 10-footer at the ninth hole, then chipped in from 28 feet at No. 12 before acing the next. He’s only had two putts on the back nine.
This is the third straight year there has been an ace at the 13th hole.
Way to go Ben!!! Nice Birdie on 18 to finish the day strong. My buddies and I will be cheering for you this weekend.
