Very impressive. The iron play and putting were superb. To dust off a field like that as handily as you did I’m sure has you thinking of a major win this year.

most respectfull and warm Congratulations from the bottom of my heart I send you from Bavaria/Germany. Sure I was hoping, Martin Kaymar could make it, but, to be honest, after that week, you deserved it more than anybody else of the best 64 players in the world. I love to watch you playing, to read your interviews to listen to you making your points. As Martin Kaymer put it: Luke Donald is impressive. Even though I lost, I still get something out of it.
You certainly deserve to be No. 3 of the world – and even better. I hope you will chase these guys up there – and teach them not only every now and then to stay humble. And probably the best way to do so would be become yourself the No. 1. I state that as a captive fan of Martin Kaymer, hoping that this makes my congratulations Even more worthfull for You.

We live here in Palm Springs California, we were routing for you all the way today and our congratulations on winning the WGC in 2011 as did our other favourite in 2010 ‘young’ Ian. Luke – wonderful victory (reminded me of David Toms at same event a few years ago). Your short game is to die for and with wedge play like yours you dont need to boom the ball. Let’s hope this leads to many more victories on the PGA Tour and major championships. Now you have beaten the best in the world you know you can do it again and again.

My husband and I were at the Pebble Beach US Open, and you were very nice to allow me to have a picture taken with you (I am originally from England). The people around me said what a nice young man you were. To me it doesn’t matter if you win all the time (as the media seem to go on about). Just enjoy your game and your lovely family.
