  • Jonathan - http://www.facebook.com/NOW.HIRING.JOBS

Ogivy or Byrd .. odd picks for me – but I scanned the list a few times and they jumped out at me .. not sure why

    Why NOT!?

  • Sergio Fan

Sergio Garcia, he just played 36 holes of qualifying and he can play care free this week knowing he is going to play at congressional…no worries for sergio equals good results. Let’s be serious this would be great for golf, he draws just as many ratings as Tiger does, because people like to see what he is going to do next!!

  • Karl Devlin

Zach’s the man for me this week-6th at Quail Hollow,12th at The Players and 4th at Colonial were his last 3 starts on tour.Played TPC Southwind twice finishing 12th and 5th,expecting a big week from him and also these, http://kdevo1.blogspot.com/

  • bertdeuce

    Lookin for a Villegas resurgence…

While I was more a Westwood fan when he couldn’t hit the side of a barn, he is the logical choice.

Wiley PGA tour vets like those small greens. Garcia, Gay, or Allenby…

(Whoa?!? three of the guys I mention above are playing in the same group Thursday..)

  • paulie

    Goosen , Snedeker, Gay

  • patrick b

Has to be scott verplank for me,accuracy not a problem and his putting is improving with age, would love to say j byrd but he cost me a lot of money last week with his poor green side chipping, use the wrists next time j byrd.

  • Boston Shamrock

My pick is David Toms. My sleeper is James Driscoll.

  • Nick

Camilo, Dean Wilson, Ryuji Imada, just because.

  • Dustin's Drive

Can Westwood repeat? Perhaps. He’s hot coming in to Memphis. I say yes.

    1) Westwood – Edges out Toms and Gay by 1.
    2) Toms
    2) Gay
    4) Johnson
    5) Micheel

  • Giles

Westwood to defend. 2 wins and a playoff defeat to Donald in his last 3 strokeplay events.

  • Big Hitter

    Chris Couch
    Spencer Lavan
    Steve Marino

All hit it straight. Just need the putter to be hot

    Westwood will miss the cut!

  • VIDDY

    Very weak field indeed.
Cream rises on tough tracks and even more so when the competition is light on.
    1. Zach Johnson by 4-8 shots
    2. Snedeker (see Harbour Town similiar course)
    3. Toms
    4. Karlsson

  • RC

Going with the home town boy, Sneds this time. 2 week layoff will bode him well and he should be ready to play. I think we are looking at a very confident Brandt Snedeker and a much more mature person now. This could be his year.

  • Elizabeth

    Toms.
    Imada.
    Westwood.

    Not necessarily in that order.

  • eric

Westwood – hopefully this one doesn’t have to be Gaggirrussed to him! A triple on the last hole! C’mon Robert G.! I lost money on that!

  • mathew bernat

john daly why not anything can happen

  • Ryan

I see Byrd, Toms and Sneds battling it out, with Byrd winning by 2 strokes

  • DALY

John Daly. hes a beast and will come through this week. he really has had a few good tourneys just the hip problem. not that he is 100% i see him coming through again

  • randy jansen

    Had stricker last week.

This week Garcia is my pick.

My sleeper pick is spencer levin.Very consistant. so far and might break through as a longshot.

I see a lot of love for a great guy and home towner SNEDEKER. When he has played the weekend, which is 7 times this year his lowest finish was 16th, amazing. Unfortunatly he has not played the weekend 7 times also, again amazing inconsistantly. This might be his week, but until he stops being THE most up and down player on the pga tour, by a mile, i am staying away.

  • Jamie S.

Greg Chalmers as a darkhorse this week who’s been putting lights out..

  • Al from Australia

My top 6 this week are :

    1. Jonathan Byrd
    2. Brian Gay
    3. Zach Johnson
    4. John Senden
    5. Brandt Snedeker
    6. David Toms
Very good chances to Steven Bowditch
    and Jarrod Lyle.

  • Sammy V

    Toms

  • Ginza

This is my second review on the site of PGATOUR, and I’d said that Luke will be the N1 one year ago. Number ONE. Luke Donald. He can do every thing. he is the best, he is very stable; he can do it step by step this week end . -3 every round, thats means -12 or -15 this sunday evening. But only if somebody like Byrd, Gay, Stricker makes -18…. Luke will not win, but not lose.

  • Robbie

    Winner and contenders from

Westwood, Toms, Byrd, Senden and Snedeker.

  • Tony from Oz land

G/Day, Zach Johnson or John Senden sleeper James Driscoll

  • David M Australia

Allenby – Ogilvy and will put in Bowditch sleeper
Course sets up well for Allenby due for a good tournament here. Bowditch if he get of to a good start has been finishing well of late.

  • JAVI

I hope Sergio finally breaks the “The Players’
curse (Stenson,Clark)and retorns to the top.
Good luck Sergio,it’s the only thing you need,
    your golf is great.

  • Bob Murphy

I am not alone in thinking Byrd will come up big this week.

  • Justin de Villiers

Sergio, Toms and Zach Johnson. Zach johnson to follow up and win the US Open

  • Stan

Byrd has been playing well this year, feeling another win for him either this week or next.

  • Anthony Distler

Like Byrd. Like Sergio. But give me an Australian…ANY Australian. They all look like good picks.

  • Ryan V

    Z. Johnson wins by 1 over Byrd

  • Wonputt@ www.17secondstomoremoney.com

    Got Heat? Cameron Beckman
    Loves It!!!
    Keep your Cool
    this week boys
    while
    everyone ELSE
    is loosing theirs!

  • Brools Keiser

I’m a Daly fan.I hope he puts some rounds together here.He has as good a chance as anyone else if he can deal with the heat.

  • Rafael Fernandez de Mesa

This week Sergio is going to have fun and play the way he is able to!!! Watch him too at the USA OPEN!! Rafael Fernanadez de Mesa.

  • Chara

Anyone can pick Sergio or Westwood. But remember where you saw the prediction that Fran Quinn would win this tournament.

  • j barnes

freddie jacobson or robert karlsson…course and current form suggest big weeks from both

  • Soe

    Come on camilo!!!!!!!! or Sergio!!

  • Sean Gormley

Top 10 Yang. Top 5 Garcia. Win Harrington.

  • John

David Toms in a boatRace–Its hot and David is likely to post 262 and win by 7. Probably start with under 130 for pre-cut

  • Jeff C

    Toms by 4

  • Fearghal

Padraig Harrington is coming off a knee injury and with plenty of time to practice he’ll be there or therabouts

  • ace

  • Stephen Ussher

    3-way playoff…Toms, Gay, Imada

Harrington to lead after first round and miss the cut :-/

  • Mike

I like Brian Davis to get that first win. 2nd place here in ’07, and he loves par 70 tracks because of his excellent driving accuracy and G.I.R. stats.

  • discoputter

    Zach Johnson.playing well.Good stats
YE Yang.Nice record on the PGA this year.
Spender Levin. Due a top 5 finish
    My Top aussie…easily John Senden

  • Pete

Anthony Kim, it’s time for him to start playing to his talent level again.

  • Nick

I like Zach Johnson and John Senden….combination of hunch play, consistency and the depth of the field. I personally think ZJ is due and Senden, who plays pretty much every week, has 2 top 10′s in his last 3 starts and a remarkable 8 top 25′s in his last 11 starts. One of these will break through this week.

  • Jackimo

All the comments posted and nobody has mentioned the winner “Ben Crane”. Most people predicting the top four in the betting all to be placed, how often does that happen??
As for the US open I wonder does Watney have the bottle, he certainly has the game.

  • Mike

It’s Joe Ogilvie’s week to win.

  • Joey

    Sergio because:

    1) Just qualified for the Open, feeling good
    2) Been hot all season just unable to string 4 rounds together
    3) Way overdue for a victory on tour, last win was at the Players
    4) He’s a straight-up boss

  • rich bliesener

I ve been backing Todd Hamilton even before his Rookie of the Year 2004. wins at the Honda and the British Open.
He’s my man to go for it as he tries for one more. If he gets hot look out as he really is a world wide seasoned veteran and great ball striker.
I have watched him play and played four holes with him and wish that I could finish the round we missed together before a torrential downpour closed the course we were on. On the bright side I learned so much personally of him that day that I will always believe he is the man to beat in any tournament he enters. Cmon Todd do one more time. Rich.

  • rob

scott piercy playing well without luck chance to break drought in weak field

  • SK Lau

VJ!His last round was a vary respectable -7…media did not pick that up!I am sure is time for him.
