Hey Don’t laugh too hard, but I’m taking Stephen Ames to win…. I know him pretty well and he is a hell of a player…..
Good luck Stephen.
9 Finishes in the top 16 in 2011. 7th in scoring average. T11 at the US Open. He was 8th in Gir’s last week!! That spells trouble for all the other players, because he is the best putter on tour. On his way to a breakout season………Brandt Snedeker.
A man fresh off a couple weeks break, who is hitting it well but needs his putter to get hot. Vijay Singh will be lifting the trophy Sunday evening for the first time in a since he won the FedEx Cup. Also, watch out for Poulter, could made a run this week.
I also agree with Bruce.Brandt Snedeker has a great chance this week,he was well in contention last week but had a mountain to climb to catch our RORY Belfasts CHAMP.p.s Had £50 e/w on Rory @18/1 and £20e/w on J.Day another player thats ready to win.
Good luck lads this week.
A.T.B BUFF.
BO VAN PELT.HE TIED FOR 14TH THE OPEN HE IS DUE
Andres Romero
Bo Van Pelt is the pick, Brandt Jobe is my sleeper.
Bo Van Pelt—if he eliminates that “one bad round” then he’s the winner…. He’s a birdie machine…. Go Bo
BUB-BAAAA will hoist it again followed by …Crane,Fowler & Mahan
Hey! You gotta get it in the hole now …Hey! You gotta make your Mama pround now! Hey! If you wanna play with the Pros’s now…
In a two hole playoff-Spencer Levin tops Webb Simpson in a fantastic finish!
Mahan , Watney , Snedeker
Ben Curtis based on his historical performance here! He also is coming off a good showing at the Memorial and had a solid few rounds at St. Jude. His high ranking in driving accuracy will leave him with good approach shots on this shorter course.
David Duval has a chance if he can keep it in the fairway and sink a few more putts.
David Gentzler
1…Bradley
2…Snedeker
3…Poulter
JOSH TEATOR – 2 WEEKS OFF AND HE IS DO TO SHOW US THE SAME FORM AS 2010
Boo Weekley
Just picking one.. Amateur Patrick Cantlay. #1 amateur in the world
First of all, Fowler isn’t playing (to whoever picked him above).
Anyway, I like throwing a gut pick out there and my gut this week says Vaughn Taylor. As for an actual educated pick to win, I think Webb Simpson has shown about as close to winning form this year as anybody. It’s about time he breaks through.
Goydos, Webb Simpson,Bubba,Lucas Glover and J.B. and my canadian man Graham Delaet.
mike weir ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
Who said Weir, Graham Delaet is Canadian keep up man!
David Duval
Christopher DeForest. Coming off a good showing at the US Open…one of only 3 players to make six birdies on Thursday(including Rory) after shooting 71,65 to qualify. Followed up with a 67 Monday to qualify for Travelers. Chris is crazy long…hits it longer than Bubba and will make tons of birdies this week.
Graham Delaet
I’ve got to pick a few great players that have posted really low scores here in the past and all due for a win:
1) Chad Campbell
2) Boo Weekley
3) Vaughn Taylor
4) John Rollins
5) James Driscoll
A: Paddy, Watney
B: Webb, Van Pelt
Toms, Mahan
C: Ryan Moore,, Zack
With a sensible betting plan, if any of the following list finish top 5 you’ll be in profit. Ir’s served me well for a couple of years now. Nobody too obvious or short in price, yet all have either good/improved recent form or impressive course history. If I was going to pick just one as my main “sleeper” I would have to go for Curtis with his stunning tournament record.
Full list is
Ben Curtis
Chad Campbell
Brandt Jobe (might be a bit short in price but I can’t desert a player who was a 175/1 runner up for me at the Memorial. Ride the wave for now)
Chris Riley
Chris Di Marco (I’m convinced he’ll put 4 good rounds together very soon)
Chris Kirk
DJ Trahan
Tim Herron
Good luck all.
Aaaagh. I meant Blanks not Kirk. Too many Chris’s/Kris’s!!
TIM HERRON playing well will win a tournament very soon!!! Dont forget bout brendan steele too!!
Bubba or Poulter.
This is regular event without some of the really big names. A course that can be tackled by good talent.
One of these guys will take it this weekend…
1 troy matteson 2 cameron tringale 3bryce molder
1. Dustin Johnson
2. Zack Johnson
3. Phil Mickelson
4. Matt Kuchar
5. Bubba Watson
My picks in this order:
1. Lucas Glover
2. David Toms
3. Bo Van Pelt
4. Bubba Watson
golfer 1118 I like your pick…
I’ll take the Swede that’s been knocking on the door for quite some time. Give me Fredrik Jacobson.
paddy harrington is due a big week
1. Laird 66/1 think thats a cracking price even though not played well last few weeks.
2. Heath Slocum gave me a good run for me money at 300/1. Thought give him another chance this week. 80/1 odds this week.
3. Josh Teater i agree with Bill Pga £10 ew at 225/1 was to good to miss.
All £10ew at Ladbrokes PP and bet365.
Jamie, Harrington has been due a big week for a long time now…he’s his own worst enemy i reckon, in regards to over-analsying everything…here’s hoping he’ll bounce back though..he’s certainly capable of anything
I think David Toms will bounce back after his bad preformance at the US Open last week and win the Travelers. He knows that he can still win on the tour and will once again prove that this week—GEAUX TIGERS!
Ben Crane or Zach Johnson. Both these guys are due, and can play great golf on a course like this. Looking forward to some tuff comp this week. The golf world is in flux and I like it! The level of play across the field right now is high!
Kenny Perry, Hunter Mahan, Bubba Watson and Zach Johnson. Mahan has won here and is almost always in contention. Watson is the defending champ. Perry, although he has had a rough start, has won here and threw up a 62 in his last round. He’s been throwing darts at the greens and seems to be getting confident with his putter. He’s on the verge! Johnson is due.
Ricky barnes
Since nobody else wants him I’ll take the sweatest swing in golf, Geoff Ogilvy to break out of his slump and win.
Master Graham DeLaet….beware of him for the next few tourneys folks!!!!!!
Webb Simpson to break through. And my sleeper pick is Chris Couch, who hasn’t missed a cut this year. Only player on tour to chip with a reverse grip. Don’t laugh, he did it in 06, remember?
Got to go with the most recent post – Webb Simpson.
I say Vijay ends the drought
Brock365, are smokin’ crack?…3 of the 5 golfers you chose won’t even be close to the eastcoast this weekend. Whackjob.
The Punter’s Picks:
1. Jim Furyk (Lancaster PA’s Golden Poop)
2. Bo VanPelt
3. Paddy
Ricky barnes or Carl petterson
Tom Gillis. It’s Gillie time!
Hungry for a win must be Webb Simpson
Dark horse Hoffman
Favourites chance Mahan if not tired
Would like to see Bo Van Pelt win
Hunter Mahan, Paul Goydos & Bo Van Pelt
I said a week ago, I pick one of the Golf boys at River Highlands. Considering he’s won here and has a good season, I’ll go with the Hunter.
Anthony Kim, Ian Poulter, and Brandt Snedeker.
Hunter Mahan, Zac Johnson, Ryan Moore, Paul Goydus
Bill PGA I agree Teat is do. He is a friend of mine and he is do for a great showing he as been there for the last month at the top of the leader board first two rounds i believe he will keep it together for all four rounds this week. GO Teat
DD David Duval
David Toms
John Merrick Monday Qualified with an eagle and 6 birdies. He has been playing well, missed short putts not withstanding.
1.
1. W. Simpson
2.F. Jacobson
3. B. Jobe
Ian Poulter, Bubba Watson and Fran Quinn, in that order.
Winner this week Brandt Jobe
Ian Poulter will draw confidence from his mate McIlroy winning last week, one of the best ball strikers in the game right now and if his putter decides to turn up then this is his tournament to win.
winner will come from the Bradley/Toms/Poulter group, watch this space,,,,
Look for Toms or Watney……..
He’s a long shot but I think…Paddy Harrington. While Padraig played decent in the US Open, he tied for fifth here last year. His stats aren’t great (7/10 on cuts, 3 top 25s) but I just have a feeling….My sleeper is Brandt Jobe, who has played very well of late.
Lucas Glover will wipe this field. It will be a putting contest and their aren’t many better than Glover. The only guy that can challenge is badds.
1st H.Mahan
2nd R.Barnes
3rd B.Curtis
4th N.Watney
5th N.O’Hern
Starters:Harrington, Van Pelt, Curtis, Zach Johnson
Bench: Barnes, Simpson,Vaughn Taylor, Keegan Bradley
Chris Kirk. Mark my words.
Webb Simpson-Winner
Sleeper-Spencer Levin
Alt sleeper-A. Baddeley
Aron Price is ready to fire
baddeley has turned a corner this year and would have to be nearing his prime has become laser like with his irons and has always been a great putter will win again this year could be this week!!
Padraig Harrington close to victory with chances to Van Pelt,Simpson,Streelman and Holmes
Arjun Atwal is well rested and rearing to go. watch out guys.
Good pick Jim with Chris DeForest…he may not win this week or even this year but he is going to put some numbers together and top ten placements this year….good kid with a great game….future noise from him.
How can you leave Furyk off the expert picks??
My Picks: 1. Jim Furyk
2. Webb Simpson
3. David Duval
1- Nick Watney
2-Spencer Levin
3-Ricky Barnes
Chris Deforest, shot a great round to qualify and played well at the Open
David Duval will win.
I think Stephen Ames will have a good run at a win here,if his back holds up. He can play the game and knows how to win when he is healthy.
I think that John Daly is going to pull this one off. His time is due to win one and I think it will be this one.
look out forevin streelman
look out for kevin streelman
Steve Flesch…..
Playing into a little form over the past few weeks and could well surprise.
If not this week then his time to win is due soon.
SLOCUM,VAN PELT, HENRY, CHAPPELL
Bubba Waston is the man for the win.
David June 21st 9.35pm post knows more about golf than the rest of us put together:Patrick Cantlay to win what a pick!!!!!!I not too bad myself i had Webb Simpson so far he 4behind second???????
