    Dustin,

You cannot believe how happy I am for you. You are by far my favourite player, and you have been for a long time. You definitely deserved this win, you earned it. You were just striking the ball beautifully and your putting was outstanding. Too bad I couldn’t watch you for another day. Now, get out of there as fast as you can, and get ready for next week. Oh and by the way, your number 1 in the fedex cup. Great work DJ, your the best.

    Your biggest fan,
    Andrew

VERY sorry Dustin and Andrew…but the official FedEx Standings say that Nick Watney with 1,906 points is still ahead. I don’t understand this.

You have to be one of the greatest “mudders” in golf history. When the weather is bad you become unbeatable. Have followed you every since you were a “chaticleer” with my son Steve who graduated from there in 2004. Sorry you missed the “Greenbrier Classic”, hope you come next year. I live in WV and would love to be able to follow you at that tournament.

  • Doug Hampton

Dustin , you are one cool customer when the chips are down. A man of character doesn’t command much respect these days but it is obvious that the character you display isn’t designed to impress anyone , It’s just the right thing to do. How the rules officials of USGA can sleep at night , I don’t know , after what they did to you in the non bunker at whistling Straits. You personally have proven to be bigger than the whole USGA.

  • rielee hampton.

    andrew , hows your day?

  • Linda

Dustin, We fans here in Conway are so proud of you. We are always watching. Keep up the good work and win that FedX Cup.

Go get yourself that fedex cup!!

  • Geoff

Nice work Dustin- i reckon that yourself and the likes of Kuchar, Watney and a heap of other good players are a great example of how this great game should be played ie with skill,a great temperament with a nice dose of humility as well

How about a Major next year

  • Linda Davis

To Justin and Andrew……First congrats to Justin for a GREAT win!!!YES Andrew you were right Dustin is on the top of the FedEx Standings where he should be!!!!!Please accept my apology.

  • Michaela

  • IGHackett

Great win Dustin, keep it going forward throughout the playoffs!

  • pablo

Well deserved. Glad to see you win after getting trapped with the false sandtraps scattered around the “other” course. what a travesty of justice that was. but you were cool about it.

  • Sumant

Well played Mr. Johnson! The hard work and concentration paid off. Carry on with those guns blazing!

  • 20YearsOnTour

FED EX POINTS should NOT be awarded for this!!!

  • Rob Hoffmann

    Hey Dustin,
Congrats on the win ! Knew it was coming. The snowbird crew from the beach love to watch you play from long ago. Wonder did ya get the new boat yet, maybe splurge on some monsterous yacht now, tho thats not yer style. Good luck the rest of the season, bring it home.

  • Jim

Lots of nicknames to pick from
    Mr. FedEx cup Playoffs.
    New Mr. September.
Mr. 54 (Two tourneys won on 54 holes)
Number 4 (OWGR as of Aug 29, 2011)

No matter the nickname, DJ is a cool golfer. Happy to see him win again.

Isn’t he now the winningest player under 30 worldwide? Well Ryo has won more times, but the fields he’s playing against don’t really compare.

  • Chuck Schick

It’s a win with an *. With so much emphasis on these Playoffs by the PGA and what they want to accomplish through them, to award FedEx points after a shortened 54 hole event is ridiculous. Give him the money and the trophy and the win but not the FedEx Pts, it shouldn’t count toward the Playoffs in my opinion. It wasn’t a full PGA event and we all know the difference between having to play 54 holes versus 72 for a win. Kudos Dustin but this was not a full event and FedEx Pts should not be awarded in these situations.

  • C-Man

wow u go out and play and then ill take your fedex cup points. Thats why idiots are on message boards, not in tourney golf. Good win for dustin. was there at turning stone for his win there, classy guys, good for the game.

  • David

Pretty sure that Kaymer has won more times under 30.

But nevertheless congrats Johnson, one of my favourite golfers to watch. Major time next year.

  • jason

well done dustin, keep the focus and win the fed ex cup.

  • Alex

Congratulations Dustin on your win in my home state. That was quite a clinic you put on especially on Friday and Saturday…Good luck the rest of these playoffs and on winning the Tour Championship

  • Mark and Debi Rolfing
