The Golf Channel will be hosting “Social Media Saturday” during the Nationwide Tour Championship third round broadcast from 2:30 to 5 p.m. ET on Oct. 29.
Have something to say about the Nationwide Tour finale? The race for The 25? Join the conversation with @RexHoggardGC and @RandallMellGC, who will be tweeting live from the course, and be sure to use the hashtag #socialsat.
During the telecast, Golf Channel will replace traditional play-by-play commentary from the broadcast team with Twitter feeds over live pictures and sound. This will be the first time social media will be fully integrated into a live Golf Channel broadcast, so get involved!
And in case you’re not already… follow the @NationwideTour on Twitter.
Your “Tweeting” being shown in the middle of the TV screen is what’s truly ANNOYING!! Why don’t you stick to providing coverage of a golf event without the stupid TWEETING!!! Are you people so in need of a following that you need to employ such a GOOFY technique?
Totally agree!! Let us watch the golf without the annoying tweets on-screen. Not to mention, the tweets are awful.
Get this tweeting off of the screen. It is very annoying and even more unnecessary. You guys should be able to comment on a round without this nonsense.
This has to be the dumbest idea these guys have ever had.
