Well done Tiger. Great to see you back on the winners podium again. Now get that No.1 back. What you’ve done for the game and will continue to do for the game is so important – accept this victory humbly and with humility and get back that No.1 golfer status again. All the best mate from your fans down in OZ.

  • Alex Malmstrom

    Congratulations Tiger!!
I have always been a huge fan of you, your game inspires me to always continue when challenged on the course especially during swing changes. I wish you all the best for the 2012 season and I am so happy for you, well done, my girlfriend and I are so proud of your victory.

Tiger’s proving he’s still in it to WIN IT. Everyone fasten your seat belts because 2012 is going to be the year he hits it out of the park and then he can retire.

This is end of long night!
I have been waiting this to happen!

    Well done Tiger

  • Linda Cawley

I think it’s great he has made a comeback- It shows people anything is possible. The greatest can fail and rise again. It will be interesting to see if he can stay on top.

  • Mike

Honestly, I didn’t think he’d win again, but he deserved it with birdies on the last two holes. I’m not much of a Tiger fan, but I hope he’ll be a little more humble this time around.

  • chandra

My hearty congratulations to TW on his fantastic victory. Very inspiring victory reminding everyone never to give up in life.

  • Crystal Patten

Watch out pga tour here he comes can you feel and see the Tiger mojo !!!!

  • Chef Charles

Congrats Tiger! When the critics and doubters were at their worst you didn’t stand a chance. Now where do they stand? Today you showed true character that hard work pays off! I’ll never forget the young man that enjoyed himself off the course and displayed true balance by enjoying himself on the course. It was a pleasure knowing you then and is a pleasure seeing you today. The game of golf is better off today with you back in the winner circle. Congrats!

  • I'm not a spoiled millionaire and I don't cheat on ,y wife

no offense bud……but still doesn’t make up for what you did….I won’t buy into the what others will, that you are a changed man….you are who you still are.

  • Gerald

Well done Tiger! I hope to see u challenge for No 1 soon..

  • Ryan R.

Great win, now go get 2-4 more next year

  • Jayson

I’ve been a fan of TW since he first came up. I wasn’t a fan because of his personal life—I never knew what that was; he kept it private. Those who hated Tiger all along could not have hated him for his personal life for the same reason: they didn’t know about it either. They must have hated him for some other reason. Can’t imagine what that would be.

I was a fan of Tiger’s golf game and the way he handled himself in the golf arena. Still am. Congrats, Tiger. Glad you’re back. Here’s to a great 2012. I’ll miss you at Torrey, once again.

  • ZM

Well done Tiger! I love seeing you finishing them off. You are unbelievable mate. What is great, you believe in yourself. I look forward to two Majors in 2012. May God continue to guide you and you continuing to make a difference in other people’s lives. Long live!

  • mike holland

Way to go buddy see you at lake James this summer

  • peps61

to “I’m not a spoiled millionaire and I don’t cheat on ,y wife”…..you’re out of place here and out of context…do us a favor, cut the crap

  • Kimberley

Super excited for Tiger, I never stopped believing in him. I Love you Tiger.

  • Darryn Smith

The Greatest golfer there ever was is back in the house !! Loving your work Tiger !!

  • Steve

A small field of player is just what Tiger needed. There are so many other better players now (and better people to cheer for).

  • frids

    Nice shots Tiger!!

  • JW

    Yup! Yup!

  • Bola

The sign of greatness is not in how many times you fail or fall, It’s in you getting up and persevering, that’s the difference between Tiger and the rest, many other golfers would have faded however Tiger did not.

Congrats and welcome back, the sport needs you and the golfing world awaits a new TW in 2012.

  • Mark (St. Lucia)

We here on the small island of St. Lucia (Caribbea/West Indies)have been waiting for your return sir. I hope all goes well for you in the near and distant future. Congrats

  • Karen

Great, now I can start watching golf again. We missed you Tiger!

  • denis lonergan

you won tonight tiger what a finish 17 and 18 amazing shots rory and lee great wins for them too what a weekend for golf a truly great weekend for sport it gives everyone a series lift to see three great talents at the top of their game keep it up

  • thethinman

“Don’t call it a comeback – been here for years.”

    Nice!!!

  • Dave

good win against 18 guys, you are the best – oh wait you forgot about the rest of the tour that has waxed you in the last 2 years. Everyone gets lucky every now and then.

  • Charles

If you love golf you love to see good golfers win. Pity two can’t win the same game, I feel for Zach. I love that Lee Westwood and Rory also won. I can hardly wait to see them go head to head with Tiger in 2012. Zach, you gave Tiger a run for his money, really good game from both of you. I love golf so: Congrats to Tiger, Rory, Lee and not forgetting K.J. who pushed Tiger at the start of the tournament. I’m so happy! Now Tiger haters can eat some humble pie and next year they will go underground!

  • Irene

What a JOY to see Tiger get a W again! :D

  • Sandi

Great win Tiger. Good to see you back in the winners circle.

  • canderson

This was the Chevron World Challenge…. It’s not like he’s wearing a green jacket right now. This doesn’t mean he’s “back”… it is a great confidence boost for him though and I applaud the win! Screw the critics who are referencing his personal life… it’s his personal life, not yours. I think this did a lot for him going into 2012. I don’t think this shows you what he will do this upcoming year though. Not trying to take anything from the win, it’s just my opinion. Good finish Tiger!!!

  • Catherine

Well done!! We are so pleased to see you back where you belong. The golf world NEEDS you!!
    You made my day!!

  • Sauce

IM SO HAPPY,i got him at 10/1 for the masters..big 2012 for Tiger Woods,LEGS GO!!!!

  • Zongie Mbekeni

Peps61, you are quite correct. Golf is about Tiger Woods and I like what Fred Couples (Mr Cool!) did prior and during The President’s Cup.

  • Golfkiller

I knew he was going to win today! I always chose him out of everyone. I always thought that Tiger is not like everybody else. He’s Tiger! I always watched a tournment with tiger in it no matter what!

  • Daryl Morris

Tiger..I can’t tell you how good it feels to see you take the steps back to number 1….I know it is now if it is just when…Congratulations on a fantastic tournament and equally great win!

  • Anthony Kernahan

You know you put on a great show in Australia. Congratulations on the win today. You deserve it and many more. Go hard and we wait for ypu again soon in Australia

  • Charles

Tiger jumbed a woping 32 places in the world golf ranking. Another such jump and he’s Numero Uno!

  • Gary Robinson

I am glad to see u back in Tiger Form. I pray u will continue to walk in God favorite Golf Course and show God great mercy and His greatness thru you in golf and life.

  • wazza

Fantastic W Tiger thought you played the last 2 holes sensationally. Relly looking forward to 2012 and another “Year of the Tiger”

  • Jean M.

    Wonderfull,i’m so glad for you.
Magnifique je suis content pour toi.
Enhora buena soy feliz para ti y el golf en su conjunto. Jean M.

  • Joseph Jusino

Congrat Tiger ……Job well done ,good luck in the coming year, looking forward to you being # 1 in the rankings again…………..

  • Glenn

Very good, we are so glad to see you back in contention. Well done!

  • Dr. David Balaishis

Way to go Tiger from Toronto…GR8 finish to quiet the non-believers !!! Good luck for 2012. Welcome back.

  • Charles

I think the PGA should run an article on Steve Stricker who gave Tiger a few putting tips and Tiger mentioned it a few times.

  • linda yang

Tiger, we all love you. Look ahead! We are all not perfect!

  • Charles

Not forgetting the new Caddy! I hope he gets a better record than that feisty Org from NZ.

  • dr selva

    Well done. Congratulations.
We are waiting for this W and many more will come.

Now we are at peace of mind and soul.
Please keep up the good work.
    Selva and Chandra.

  • Philip Moore

Hey Tiger this is just what you needed to prove all the doubters wrong. I am one of the fans of yours that I can say I stuck with you even through your problems, personal and physical. Your are a champion, have a few beers 2nite and get on it hard. I hope you win heaps next year including at least a major or 2

  • David A Whitaker

Welcome back Tiger, I know it feel so good I wish you and your family a great Xmas holiday.

  • IWoon

At last!!! Congratulations Tiger….Keep it coming.

  • Bruce black

Im so happy for tiger. Hello, nay sayers

  • SY

Been a Tiger fan since ’96. Although he took a tumble the last couple of years, but it’s fair to say that he’s definitely on a up right now. Congratulations Tiger, more Ws in 2012! Should’ve won the Australian Open too :)

  • Eric Yuen

Congrat to Tiger. It is amazing to see him back.

  • ramdeo

I have not seen such a trilling Sunday for 2years. Cannot wait for next year congrats Tiger you are the best.

  • Joe Barron

Tiger is a great golfer. I always expected him to win again but given his questionable morals I can’t bring myself to cheer for him like before. Yes, good on him for seeking help and time will tell. I rather support an athlete who can be a role model for our children and grandchildren. Winning and wealth does not make a role model. I say this to a previous comment, “Tiger Woods is not golf”

  • said

congratulations tiger. very well done. lets hope 2012, u regain no 1 spot.

  • Pat Browning

I never doubted that Tiger would get back in the game. It’s been a long two years, but the Chevron win made it all worth it. Thanks, Tiger, for hanging in there and working it out!

  • Jamie Cowe

Readimg the comments everybody seems to think tiger is back and happy for him! Congratulations tiger! golf is back! Tiger is Golf!

  • Robert

Hey I’m not a spoiled millionaire,— I am glad that there are those more forgiving than you. Have you never made a mistake in life?
I am very happy for you Tiger! your drive to win is unprecedented. Stay healthy and thanks for the sparks today!!

  • Claudius

The signs were there when he played at Australian Open. A little lucky that noone played well yesterday, Tiger seems to still struggle with Saturday play. I think 2012 is going to be a great year for Tiger.

  • Rod

Tiger mind looks to be clearing !! Watch Out !!

  • Vince

Yes it may be a win…..but he only beat 17 guys who he invited to a tournament he hosts on a course he knows like the back of his hand….so let’s not turn the golf world on it’s ear just yet. A win during a weekend with his buddies, hohum…

  • Dave

sigh. going up 32 places in the World Rankings in an end of year tournament exhibition of 18 players where less than half of them showed up and played decent golf? Strange system.

Anyway well done Woods. Was always going to win again anyway, he has too many courses where he has the number on them. This course, Bay Hill, Torrey Pines, Firestone, St.Andrews, Augusta and Tiger will contend everytime unless if he is anywhere near his best.

This was one of those courses. Some of the comments are quite funny to read through, some people worship the man too much. Did he get it off with you guys too? Also the posts that are dismissive of other top players because of a small win are laughable.

  • Trevor

Awesome finish Tiger! You played great and it was very exiting and fun to watch…good luck in 2012!

  • Dave

    *nowhere

  • John

You´re back Tiger! I have missed the old tiger and today you proved who you are, well done. I looking forward to see you in the 2012 season. Merry Christmas!

  • Sheri

Congrats Tiger! No matter what they say, the PGA and network TV need you winning. Stay strong and stay the course. Golf just got a whole lot more interesting.

  • Charles

I EXPECT A MAJORS GRAND-SLAM AND NO LESS!!! THIS WILL TEACH THE YOUNG GUNS HOW TIGER CAN STING!

  • Tangee

Just exciting to see Tiger at long last break the ice. What a thrilling finish it must have been for him.

  • John

You´re back Tiger! I have missed the old tiger and today you proved who you are, well done. I looking forward to see you in the 2012 season.

  • Zongie Mbekeni

Charles, only FOOLS who do not take positive advices from other people. That shows what TIGER WOODS is made of mate.

  • J-M

Mostly loved Paul Casey after a bad 1st day and Zach’s tenacity under pressure.

Well played by all this week.

  • Charles

Hey Dave, I was not dismissive of other players! Why are you always bashing at me?

  • Viking Ray

I totally agree with peps61. I’ve always had faith in TW, and am looking forward to seeing him in the winner’s circle again. Tere were only 17 others whom TW invited, yes, but the rankings of most of those players made this a great tournament. Congrats to you TIGER, and welcome back.

  • Dave

wasnt talking to you Charles! And I don’t remember bashing you before? I don’t remember you posting or disagreeing with you.

  • Cale

Wow, that finish was fantastic! Welcome back to the winners’ circle, Tiger.

  • X24 hot

Dave and Vince- without looking it up tell me the name of 8 players that were in the event that rory played this week. The chevron had big names and really aren’t you always playing against about 20 guys in the end. Last year when he lost this event everyone said he was done now then doesn’t it make sense that he is back? And he did have to birdie the last 2 to win it it’s not like Johnson gave it to him.

  • Tommy

Great finishing two holes. Needless to say, two pressure putts.
Even though it was in a field of only 18 players, it did however showed that his golf game is back, and all the players that saw him would all agree, that Tiger Woods is back.
A win is a win. It is a boost in confidence and giant step towards the top for Tiger.
A great weekend of for golf, with Tiger, Rory and Lee, all winning. Congratulation to all winners on the weekend.
Can’t wait for 2012 to start.

  • GHam

Well it was just a matter of when. Lets look at the #1 player in the World, Luke Donald great player 11 world wide wins, Zero Majors. #2 in the World, Rory McIlroy great player 5 world wide wins 1 Major. #3 Lee Westwood who is older then Tiger with 36 world wide wins and zero Majors. Tiger 71 offical world wide wins and 14 Majors.
@ Dave so you can see that luck has happened often for Tiger.
Champions learn to win it is not a given. I am sure you have been on top of the world at one point in your life and taken a fall. Did you give up or did you work harder to get back to the top? Tiger nows how to win but he didn’t have the tools. Tiger will win again but to be on top of the World ranking for 281 weeks it comes with hard work. How many of the 71 wins do you think that Lee and Luke played in when Tiger was winning?
Golf is healthier when Tiger is playing and when he wins the game is exciting to watch.

  • Will

Congratulations Tiger! We’ve all been rooting for you for these 2 years (and many more), and we’re really excited to see you victorious again!

  • Eric Rose

Tiger fought hard. He played great golf and looks to be getting better and better as time goes on. I’m excited to see what he has to bring to the 2012 season.

  • Matt Courtney

The old Tiger is back with a bang.
Birdie birdie finish. Just like the old days.
    Welcome back TIGER.

  • Chris Snyder

Congratulations to Tiger Woods. It was just a matter of time, and I’m glad he got a W at his tournament. I’m sure there will be many more next year. I hope he surrounds himself with his good friends to celebrate this one. Stay healthy, Tiger!

To the haters – haven’t you people figured out yet that you’re not hurting Tiger with your hatred but destroying yourselves?

  • Diwaite Ike

It was great watching Tiger win today, I knew his career wasn’t over like some have said.
I look foward to a tournament with him and Rory McIlroy who recently said “the Tiger Woods era in golf is over.

  • The Legend

Tiger, you’ve changed the world with that win and will continue to change the world with many more wins in the future. Go get ‘em Tiger!

  • cmstorm

    Nice win Tiger..
Now let’s see what you’ll do with a full field. With only 18 golfers, what was this a private tournament?

  • G Clark

Congratulations to Tiger – It is a big win for all golf fans as well as Tiger – He is why I watch – he makes golf exciting

  • The Legend

    @cmstorm
It’d probably be the same conclusion seeing how the 18 were golf’s elite.

    Gotta love Tiger!

  • Paul

It’s great that Tiger has a win, I just hope the commmentators will stop telling us it’s been two years,730 days, 175,200 hours since Tiger has won.

  • X24 hot

Cmstorm- I think it was 6 more players than the one lee Westwood won today.

  • Dennis

He won a “minor” tournament that he needed a special invite for. Let’s see what happens with a full field, like a major.

  • Jorge

    Heeeessss baaaaackk!!!!
    Tiger madness once again!!

  • Dave

‘Tiger 71 offical world wide wins and 14 Majors.
@ Dave so you can see that luck has happened often for Tiger.’

He has won 30 of his events on those courses I mentioned, including 6 majors. He picks his courses well.

  • Scott

Congrats Tiger! Nice new golf bag also. What is Fuse Science and what are they doing for you?

  • Mick

    Great win Tiger!!

All your hard work over the last few months is beginning to pay off. This result proves you’re on the right track (and proves a bunch of doubters wrong too). It was great to see your swing hold up under pressure on the closing holes.

Best of luck for a huge 2012 and a few more majors locked up!

  • Richard

Congratulations, Tiger. My wife and I couldn’t be more proud of your comeback and your win, today. I wonder if peopel realize you donate all of your winnings in this tournament to the Tiger Woods Foundation. With your win today, that probably totals almost $10 million over the years.

I’m not a golfer, but a great fan of yours. Folks should realize how hard it is to win our on the PGA Tour.

Have a great Christmas with your kids!

  • G J Becker

Great play Z.Johnson!! I am sure he is glad that Tiger is back in the game
    A Iowa fan

  • Dave

Not taking away from those victories but he was always likely to win this week based on history in a limited field with tired players but doesn’t have such a bearing on other courses.

  • cmstorm

We don’t really care about Lee Westwood. Are we going to be playing a foursome tournament next?

  • Dray

If you are a true golf fan, appreciate what this man has done. It’s amazing how some of these so called analyst get paid to do what they do. Put your personal feelings aside and comment on Tigers talent. Name one other golfer that can recover from legitimate injuries, change golf swings several times, get crucified in the media for personal matters that have nothing to do with golf, have the courage to fire an un-greatful caddie and come back and WIN. Now that Tiger has won again those that said he would never win again will jump on the “he’ll never win a major again”. So predictable. Tiger will prove them all wrong again. As he has done over and over.

  • X24 hot

Dave – so your saying rory and lee both beat tired players too I guess right? It’s the end of their year too. And if they are so tired who cares how many are in the field? Wouldn’t they all be so tired?!

  • Doug

But was this s true tournament win? What happens when the field is full and ready to play?

  • Enigma

Way to go Tiger. This must feel almost like being born again. Thanks for never giving in. The Haters are on the run. Love Freddy’s text comments to Rosaforte read on the air. Wow!

  • Jeff

    Way to go Tiger!!!

  • Dave

@x24 Hot – McIlroy’s event actually meant something significant, it gives him a chance to still win the European money list. What Westwood and Woods did was win glorified exhibition tournaments on courses they like. They won them so fairplay but Rory’s win actually meant something to this year. Woods’ victory was a confidence booster but it meant very little to the rest of the field.

  • X24 hot

    Absolutely right dray!!

  • Charles

@Dray If he wins a major they will be saying, “He’ll never win a Grand Slam!

  • Alec

Heartiest congratulations Tiger. Knew you would be back. Your perseverance and comittment to the game have paid off handsomely. We on the island of Barbados always knew it was just a matter of time – the great healer- before you were just where you belong, the Greg Normans and other prophets of doom notwithstanding. I would also like to take the opportunity to give a bunch of thanks to Freddie Couples whose faith in your ability has never wavered. Good luck in the future and God bless you.

  • MeThree

What a great way to spend a cold rainy afternoon. Watching Tiger put it all together on a beautiful sunny California Sunday, priceless.

  • bearclaw

    Dave,
Get a grip. You make it sound like winning 30 times on a few courses is an argument against his greatness instead of for it. Weird.

  • Mohammad Ali

Congratulation–Tiger. Your game electrify the ausience once again-see how people like your game…watch today time to time–a win at the end.

  • Big wup

When he can perform against a full field with all of the top players in the field then we’ll talk. Most of these guys dont play in November or December as a general practice and Tiger was prepping to win a tournament that no one else wanted to play in. Only 9 of the top 25 players in the world accepted the invitation. Don’t get too excited people. He is still a morally inept individual. Don’t give him the key to vault just yet.

  • Fred

Weak field huh? I believe amongst the field there is 18 major victories. I’m no expert but I believe that would be considered a pretty tough field no matter what tournament it is. Great play Tiger!!

  • Goodmalood

I would like to thank my lord and savior the Flying Spaghetti Monster that those Christers Johnson and Simp-son did not win this week. Every time they hit the ball I say “Hit it in the water,” even when it’s not a water hole.

  • X24 hot

Dave- first answer the question isn’t everyone tired. I think that’s a tired argument. But rory beat a bunch of hacks while the top euros were playing in that exhibition. And trust me Dave the last thing all of those guys out there need is a confident tiger woods. All those guys saying he doesn’t scare them have never been in the last group in a major on Sunday with him. It’s easy not to be intimidated if you have never experienced the pressure. Rory choked all by himself at Augusta.

  • Bev

Guys. Dave’s got a point because Jack’s wins were all on different courses except Augusta. I am just reading the book that Dave read as well.

  • Zongie Mbekeni

Tiger, I wish you a Happy Xmas and Prosperous New Year mate. Enjoy it with your Family and Friends because you deserve it! God bless!!!!

  • Pierre

Congratulations Tiger. Way to go and stayed within yourself and with your game plan. Your tee shots off 17 and 18 and lat shot on 17 and 18 were spot on.

    God bless you.

  • Fred

Oh what, you want to one up my comment because of where 14 of those major victories come from? Well, you’re only digging yourself in deeper Tiger haters….go crawl back in your caves.

  • sloopyblue

golf is nothing@ not exiting without Tiger….
your appearance is needed to make people – both novice amature and professional to pay attention to the game…..Congratulation!!!!
your ability to win again is a good sign….keep on going!!!!

  • Bob

No question, one of the best to ever play. But’s let’s be honest, he is a serial adulterer and probably still would be if he hadn’t been caught.
Elin and the kids were just a part of the business model, and apparently Earl Woods and Tiger’s corporate handlers never mentioned to Tiger that there is more to marriage than PR value.

How anyone can cheer for such and arrogant and demonstrably unethical athlete is beyond comprehension. Then again, these same folks probably think Kobe Bryant and Ray Lewis are great human beings as well.

  • Raul

    Welcome back Tiger! Alright!

  • oklag

he still needs a personality transplant what an ugly grimace

  • Aaron Smith

Dave, while McIlroy’s win may have meant something in terms of who wins the Chase to Dubai blah blah, but the Hong Kong Open had weaker fields than both Chevron and Nedbank, so his achievement was the least impressive. Sorry!

  • Josh

Yes, MeThree. A win on a Sunday for Tiger…I agree with you…PRICELESS

Many Thanks to Freddie Couples and Rocco Mediate. These guys are great players and Tiger’s die-hard fans. Tiger’s fans, you are in good company. Let the nay-sayers keep talking. They are talking because they don’t have anything to say, so they just have to say something; and as usual, they never make sense.

Oh, one more thing for the nay-sayers; True, Tiger is not God, but obviously, GOD loves him enough to give him sooooo much golf talent, it hurts..hahahahah

  • Bev

Bob, I like jogging and if your mom barks at me again then I’m gonna throw a stone. Please keep her in check.

  • peter brown

Well done Tiger. Back in the winner’s circle where you belong.

  • X24 hot

Bob- why do we have to dig so deep into their lives can’t we just watch him golf. And I’m sorry but tiger was never arrested or under criminal investigation so that argument is crap. If you want to live in never land where young millionaires follow rules and do what they are told good luck finding it. The problem is that they aren’t role models so let them be what they are which is good athletes. End of story.

  • bill

the last two holes of your win was that of a champion. YOu should know that all your critics combined could not do as well. I salute you.

  • Ed

Nice win Tiger but lets keep it in perspective. An 18 player tournament with most of the leading players in the world absent. Don’t understand how it can qualify for World Ranking points.

  • X24 hot

Ed I agree this and the nedbank should get no points. That’s just ridiculous.

  • Bev

Sorry Bob, did not mean to call you an SOB but when you behave like that it makes it hard on those that love the game. Sorry again

  • gail

Wow!! I guess he’s back! Tiger heldoff the challengesof Zach Johnson, Paul Casey, Hunter Mahan, and Matt Kuchar, while in China, “Rors” was able to stop the charges of Havret, Hansen, and Jason Dufner. Who?? Why don’t these guys just stick to the big events like the Chevron? If they do, and play well, some sponsors may flip them 25-50k in events like Abu whatever, where Woods is getting 3MM….If McIlroy wants to fly privately, he better learn…..

  • Nicole

AWESOME win Tiger, My husband and I love you and keep you in our prayers…..Keep winning because you are the GREATEST GOLFER EVER…

  • Horatio

Tiger, congratulations on your well deserved win. I watched your superb play at the Australian Open and Presidents Cup and am not surpised to see you return to the winners circle now.

    Have a happy Christmas…

    Horatio

  • Birdman

Message for Greg Norman: Fred Couples bad pick Tiger Woods beats Normans pick Keegan Bradley by 20 shots. Great win and great for golf.

  • Raul

Tiger will break all golf records!

  • Josh

Wow!!!! yo go X24. I’m sure Dave and other Tiger bashers have been playing their home courses forever and still can’t break 80 and they have guts to talk about a great golfer.

All you haters. Listen. Firstly, God did not appoint you to be self-righteous pricks. Secondly, you have more dead bones in your closet than Tiger probably does and thirdly, Tiger never appointed himself to be your children and grandchildren’s role model. That is YOUR job. If your kids and grandkids must look up to athletes to define their lives, then you have woefully failed. Leave the boy alone. He’s human, He made a mistake, he was chastised for it, he paid a hefty price for his mistake. Dang, Let him heal.

  • Dave

    @Aaron Smith

There is not as big of a difference between professional golfers as there is in other sports. There is a greater chance of 138 players playing well than 17.

McIlroy could have played in Chevron but he had to play for the Race to Dubai and he won. Not much else he could do there.

It’s strange that people ‘pray for Woods’, admire his ability sure but that’s a strange response considering what he has done.

  • GHam

@ Dave the 5 wins at Sherwood don’t count for any of his 71 wins. It is a not a PGA offical event. When Jack was playing back in his day they would play in more events in the year. Today they play 17-22 events out of the 46 events. The winning percentage of Tigers is of the charts.

  • jeff haley

Congratulations Tiger. Glad to see the win. It had to be a tough journey mentally and the clutch putt on 17 and 18 shows that you still have what it takes when the pressure is on. The game of golf still needs you and the fans that you bring to the sport. Remember that the integrity of your character is even more important than the ability to win at golf.

  • X24 hot

    Word up josh!!

  • Phyl

He’s back…………………….You go, Tiger! You’re still the best!

  • John

    Guys,

Tiger is still the best golfer in the world. Please don’t forget that the current number 1 golfer in the world has not done very much on the course. He is a beneficiary of the world ranking formula. He is definitely not the best golfer in the world. You will see in 2012. Way to go Tiger. I hope you guys don’t believe Tiger is the only golfer in the world with some moral failings. All humans are a conbination of good and bad.

  • john chew

Congratulations Tiger ! I never doubted you would win again. This victory is perfectly time for 2012 and I’m pretty confident you will win a major going into the new year

  • marcc labra

WE all know that it was just a matter of time. Abu Dhabi, Tiger is coming!

  • Goodmalood

All human beings may be a combination of good and bad, but I thank the Flying Spaghetti Monster that the christers lost, as they should always.

  • Dave

Why am I a Tiger basher? If you read my first comment I said well done to him and that I thought that he would win this week. You can find a quote from me earlier on in the week saying that he would probably win.

I also think that he will win 2-3 times next year. He will contend for the Masters but justt miss out. He’s a top 10 player anyway for sure, too much talent.

I grew up loving to watch Woods. What I can’t stand is the hype, the dismissive remarks about other golfers who are doing better than him at this moment in time, the media love-in with him.

Yes I have the guts to talk about him. 150 people here have the guts to talk about him lol. Just because I am not ‘praying’ for an adulterer, I don’t think that he will win the Grand Slam next year doesn’t make me a Tiger basher. It’s too easy to jump on bandwagons, someone has to keep a level head about things.

  • Goodmalood

    Praise the Flying Spaghetti Monster!!!!

  • MYRTLE SEMPER

Congratulations Tiger, I could not leave my TV today. Keep up he good work, good luck and many more to the new year

  • redmanizer

finally I saw W for tiger!wow!!!its the first time I saw the actual roar since i just started playing golf last year.its really a big big goosebumps!Im excited now for 2012. i wanna see more of the roar!!!congrats Tiger Woods!!!visit the Philippines….haha!!!

  • Htin Aung [Mandalay]

    Please accept our heartiest Congratulations.
Some of us says it is medium rare now, not yet well done.
Go now, for another Green Jacket and kiss The Claret for us, and we’ll say well done.
Your win is indeed a great elation for all your fans in The Union of Myanmar.
But the way you played on the third day at Thousand Oaks, chills us to the bones. Spare us the pain.
    Wishing you more wins.

  • Mac

Congratulations Tiger! Great win today and kudos to Zach Johnson for putting up valiant effort. It made it exciting to the very end.

Enjoy this Holiday season and I can’t wait to see you tee it up next Year.

  • X24 hot

Dave – for the record I never said you bashed anyone I just think your arguments are lame and you just want attention! Just kidding we just disagree. It will all be settled in the coming year. You have to admit this is going to make the year a lot more exciting. Meaning that this win for tiger was very meaningful for him and golf.

  • MYCULL

I can’t wait for the 2012 season to start!
Previous World #1 – Tiger wins the Chevron, Previous World #1 – Lee Westwood wins the Nedbank Challenge and the world #2 player right now…Rory McIroy wins this week at the Hong Kong Open! GOLF is going to be FUN! Watch out LUKE! Best of Luck to all of the players, it’s more fun to watch when it’s close!

  • GB

Great to watch your win! WELL DONE!

  • Shaun

wasn’t even at his best but he still managed to pull it out. still some work to do but confidence is hard to come by and this was a boost for sure. time to finish what you started and show everyone what you came to do. only tiger woods can stop tiger woods. all you haters can suck it. congrats tiger!

  • Michael Taylor

Congratulations Tiger! Welcome back to the winners circle. I love to see your talented performances and look foward to many more great golf shots in the future.

  • Dr.Arobindo Dutt

Tiger: congratulations for you victory, specially after all the frustration over the past two years. I am a fan of your golf but you must still reshape yourself to be a great human being, like Earny and Jack to say the least. I wish you all more success in golf, although, even after ten years I can not make the little golf ball take my instruction to get where I want it to be.
Wish you many more success and beat Jack’s record.

  • X24 hot

I am also on the goodmalood bus. If they thank god when they win shouldn’t they curse him for losing. Wait I guess you would still thank him for losing right. I can never figure out why god has such a huge interest in sports. Is he a gambler?

  • DK

Well done Tiagra, you beat 17 played out golfers

  • Chan

Congratulations Tiger, make golf an interesting sport to watch again.- From your motherland.

  • Bonnie

Congratulations Tiger! I knew you would do it. It will be a thrill to see you at The Masters this year!!!!!

  • scotty

it’s not that he won, but how he won!!!

  • Travis

I’m not all that impressed – the field consisted of 18 player. You add 60+ other players, including McIlroy, G-Mac (who beat him last year) Luke Donald or Lee Westwood and TW doesn’t get the win this week. Tiger fans come back to earth, he’s never going to be what he once was and I’m not referencing his off the course antics :)

  • Dave

z24 Hot, it was Josh who said that I was bashing him.

Yes, it is. Tiger Woods brings a lot of excitement to golf. He also brings a circus around with him that you have to put up with but for the most part it will be great to see the Europeans test their mettle against him. If the Europeans are beaten by him in majors next year then I will eat my humble pie and say kudos to Tiger.

I agree it’s perfectly poised for a great 2012. If there were no disagreements, then there’d be no debate.

  • Just a golf fan

Tiger, it’s good to see your growth, both personal and professional. No one truly knows the price you’ve paid to get to where you are. Never forget that life is a journey and it’s always inward.

  • shaun

Well done Tiger.. Good to see you back in the winners circle after a though 2 years. l’d also like to congratulate McIlroy and Westwood for their wins today. 3 GREAT! Champions in the same week.. 2012 will be exciting.. Can’t wait.

  • X24 hot

Yes sir Dave then we might actually be better golfers!

  • Dave

‘make golf an interesting sport to watch again’

See it is this sort of comment that irritates me. What was so wrong with this season for excitement? I thought it was an exciting season, just because Woods isn’t there doesn’t mean that it’s boring. This sort of attitude is not from a golf fan.

  • john cooper

congratulations Tiger .. from new zealand ..we were all rooting for you down here .. you’ve gone through an uncomfortable spell being pillarised for no more than what most of the worlds male population have experienced, it’s just that we all had you on a pedastal and now you are back ..go get those majors !!

  • X24 hot

Those are not golf fans in my opinion. This year was exciting lots of playoffs. It’s just getting better.

  • Goodmalood

Perhaps Tiger is actually a Pastafarian! More glory to the Flying Spaghetti Monster!!!

  • Dave

    Glad we agree on something.

  • computer-room

My 7 year old son & I were rooting for you to show the world your back. Golf just isnt the same or as exciting with out you. I’m ecsatic that you won! I cant wait until your next game in January. I just wish you would have learned some humility with everything you have gone thru.

Sincerely glad you are back winning again!

    A huge fan

  • Bev

Did the Org from NZ make any comment yet? Does anyone know? I think he must be very jealous of the new caddy Tiger’s got!

  • J Brake

    Congratulations Tiger!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • X24 hot

Shaun- truly a man of your word. Can’t wait until April!!

  • Abraham Tiamiyu

    Congrats Tiger. Welcome back!

  • Jared

Great win, Tiger. I’ll apologize to you on behalf of all the childish people making rude comments about your private life. Your game is a privilege to enjoy.

  • Roger

Fred Couples is a big part of this win. He believed in a man… That is when this all started taking a huge possitive swing.

  • Goodmalood

May you all be touched by His Noodly Appendage!

  • Michael A

Tiger is BACK! The beat a couple major winners and several of the so called “new generation”. Looks like Freddie was right to pick him over Bradley – But we knew that anyway! Everyone except Norman. And where was Bradley? Nowhere to be found!

  • X24 hot

    Noodley or noodly?

  • Tiger Mania

Never stopped believing in this guy…. just too good really to lose it all…

Great finish…JUST LIKE OLD TIMES…oh yes

Looking forward to more great memories in the future!!!

  • paulette

Congratulations–golf wil be fun to watch again!!! Yesterday’s headlines are just that, for all of us. And they had nothing to do with our admiration of you as a champion golf player–you make it exciting. !!

  • Shan M

Congratulations Tiger! Well deserved. I’m looking forward to 2012, and not just for Tiger, but for McIlroy, Luke, Adam Scott and Westwood. It’s gonna be hot!! Woohooo!!

  • abracadabra

attention eldrick lovers: why exactly does golf “need” him? did he invent the game? are there no other players of interest on the PGA tour? would golf cease to exist without him?

  • Erik

    Tiger –
I’ve come across so many people who have said “he’s done, it’s over for him”. My only response has been, “NO, it’s not. You can’t take that much talent and arguably the best player in the history of the game, and say he’s done!” Awesome job this weekend at the Chevron and I (and the rest of the world) can’t wait to see you again in 2012! Seeing you win this weekend was….. well, as you put it, awesome! Great to see that fist pump again! Can’t wait to see a bunch more! Hope you’re ready for your 15th Major championship in April :)

  • shaun

Dave.. I agree.. a lot of these people that post on here are not real golf fans.. They are Tiger Woods worshipers. It’s really SAD. The golf this year has been very interesting on both tours and I have enjoyed watching. It was Great to see Rory win in style with the holed bunker shot on the last..Wonder if gail will comment on that shot? I seriously doubt it. He looking REALLY GOOD for next week and year Dave.

  • MrTour

I’ll be more impressed if and when he wins next year in a real event, not a limited field Silly Season tournament. Good Luck EW, your going to need it…

  • Josh

@Dave: Let me set the records straight. Whatever comments i made here to state my case is nothing personal. I agree with you that Tiger is NOT golf. He just happened to be a great golfer. I will watch golf, Tiger or no Tiger. A true golf fan is not limited to one player. Just loyal to him.

I also agree with you that when 2012 comes around, it will be fun to watch the Europeans bring their game and test it with Tiger in his better form than the last 2 years. You know that most of these guys on top now have not been toe-to-toe with Tiger on a Sunday match in the final pairing. It will be interesting to see Luke, Rory and the rest of them do it. Westwood can tell them. He’s been there with Tiger before. When the cat is not around, the mouse acts like the king….lol

  • shaun

X24 hot.. Thanks for the complement.. first time for everything. Ha Ha! I keep my word.

  • jimmyrivers

I’m not a spoiled millionaire and I don’t cheat on ,y wife December 4th, 2011 6:44 pm no offense bud……but still doesn’t make up for what you did….I won’t buy into the what others will, that you are a changed man….you are who you still are.

He doesn’t have to answer to you or anyone else for his private life. Our only interest in him should be for his golfing ability.

  • Mike L

The moon and the sun have a lined again. Maybe the media can celebrate the all the accomplishments.rather than keep his private affairs in the spot light. Here’s to many more wins in 2012.

  • Dave

I agree, he blitzed the Masters last year with a worse short game and a bundle of nerves, this year he comes to the same course with confidence, a major under his belt and a point to prove with Amen Corner. The course really suits him.

It also suits Tiger and Mickelson and Donald has a good record so I can’t wait for the Masters. Hope I’m off for the four days.

  • tumba

Well Done Tiger… The PHONEIX has risen. With that win, I believe, most of those PGA Tour players may not have much of a Merry Christmas, they had 748 days to win tournaments…. and most did not. SHOW THEM WHO’S THEIR BOSS.

  • Dave

@Josh, Westwood did fine with Woods in the US Open that time on the final day at Torrey Pines in 2008, just his putt didn’t drop and Tiger’s putt did. In fact, you’d find that he scored the same score as him on that final day.

  • AYS

I so thoroughly enjoyed watching the entire round today, indeed this entire tournament. Welcome back to the winner’s circle Tiger!

  • MC Len

We just knew it was coming….You can’t keep a goodman down. Now we look forward to Tiger breaking the Europeans’s stranglehold on World Golf. It’s been quite apparent in last 2 years that the other Americans can’t rise up to the challenge.

  • Gobat

Never understimate or write off an athlete with a dream, a love of his sport and the will to never give up. I’ve always appreciated Tiger for his prowess and have been lucky to see the greats of this and other sports. I continue to wish him the best in his personal and professional life. He inspires me and I’ll always root for him. Vaya con Dios,Tiger!

  • Juansky

Okay, so he won a Mickey Mouse tournament. Let’s see if he can win a real tourney next year.

  • shaun

MC Len.. You are right.. Tiger is still America’s only hope when it comes to competing with the top Europeans, the others have failed to impress over the last 2 years.. hence 1 Major out of 8. Where is all the depth gail is taking about?

  • Abe

Tanks Tiger. You do not know what so happy I am for your performance!

  • LoLo

People stop making sport figures your children role models. Do something in your life that will make you their role model. Great win TW.

  • Josh

@Dave: Actually, that was my point. The pressure on the last hole to beat Tiger, to me, was more devastating for Westwood. I won’t take anything from Lee. He played great, but remember before the tournament how he made some comments about Tiger and Tiger’s response to that comment was “Well, we will let our game determine that”. So, I believe the pressure to make do on his word was what made him lose knowing he shouldn’t have fueled Tiger. Tiger plays exceptionally well when people put him down. Recently, Greg norman did and we all know the result of that. All i’m saying is that given the right ammunition, this guy, Tiger, will excel better than most of these guys we are comparing with him. It is not easy winning those many trophies.

  • M

Its good to see Tiger persevering through his struggles. We knew he had the talent to win and now he has the confidence. I feel like today’s win was very fitting. 2012 is going to be his year and I can’t wait to watch!

  • EMM

Really, everyone thinks this is a huge win??Excuse me…only 18 players in the field and its not like the top 10 in the world were there.

  • Goodmalood

    Noodly.

  • Josh

@Juansky: You don’t know crap about golf….based on your comment…so please, let the adults talk. Where were your “Golf Heroes” when he won 71 titles, including 14 majors and not counting Chevron and some other exhibition games? because then, you’ll be looking at about eighty-something worldwide wins.

So, get your facts straight before making comments.

  • lucy

    the pig is reincarnated.

  • Josh

Oh God!!!!! All you these haters are pathetic. Admit, you hate this guy for his success in golf and since you can’t really destroy his game, you resort to attacking him on his personal issues that is NOT business in the first place. Please get a life. Your jealousy and off the topic, off the wall comments are old and boring.

  • Josh

  • Ward

Your antics disappointed the world. However, time will heal the minds of your true supporters. But, your professional and personal life will always be in the lime light. Congratulation on your win today and GOOD LUCK in the future.

  • Big wup

For an field referred to as being elite, I have to laugh. The average OWGR of the 18 player field is 25. The event coordiaters likely had to pay people not to play just so Tiger could get into the field. You Tiger worshipers should really take a good look at what your saying. He earned this win … I don’t think so. Of all the players in the field, Tiger likely spent more time than anybody trying to dial into his swing over the last three weeks. Most everyone else enjoyed their Thanksgiving with their family. Tiger ate with Sean Foley.

To consider the Chevron worthy of World Ranking Points is a joke.

The PGA needs to mandate a minimum numbers of tournaments that players like woods has to play in and over a three year cycle, every player in the top 50 must play in all tour events at least once unless Major Championships or the week leading up to a Major Championship interferes with that schedule.

Its a simple things but what Tiger wants – Tiger gets. Thats his Credo and the PGA allows it to happen.

  • Debbie

Congratulations! You have made my day!!!!! Welcome back!!!!! Woo Hoo!

  • Hollywood

Going birdie – birdie to win in “Tiger” fashion.

Well done. Thanks for making the game so exciting!

  • nickjmilo

good for him and great for golf! does this set him
up for the Major season in 2012?!? the only mistake he made was to say “I do”…

  • Ric

    Congratulations Tiger !
A BAD OMEN for the rest of the guys in the PGA TOUR :-)
Some people seem to belittle the fact that any tournament is more against the course rather than the rest of the field; Tiger’s performance today shows that he looks ready to take on the pressures of finishing.

  • lily

awesome!! i can’t wait for golf in 2012. Tiger is good for golf, good for sponsors good for everything. I knew he’d be back- you never knock a champion.

I see comments about Tiger’s behavior are being filtered……..as always.

  • jimmyrivers

I have seen plenty of inappropriate comments about irrelevant aspects of TW…as always.

This thread is about golf-not morality.

  • Maria

I missed you Tiger! Did not watch golf while you were gone. Congratulations and kick butt in 2012!!!

  • jimmyrivers

john careful mate, your racism is showing.

  • Ron C

Long over due but a kittle shaky. Maybe this will finally be a turning point

  • Chris

Its not the field, nor the win that i think most Golf fans and players noted this weekend … nope, i think we all noticed a focused and consistent Pro with a killer instinct when it counted most.

I think the Tiger is back.

  • Gregory Collier

    Way to go Tiger!

Thanks for yet another exciting performance.
Having been through so much in the past few years, you have overcome the obstacles, making the crucial journey back to where you belong.

Good luck in all your endeavors!

  • eddie

Try it against a full filed—hand picked opponents and u win by 1—-what a laff—u aint that good anymore u overgrown stuffed pig!!!!!!!!

  • jimmyrivers

john- what makes you so morally superior th call someone pond scum. Stick to writing about golf.

  • Juni

I agree with Dave in that I totally enjoyed this golf season where we actually got to watch other players, including the new crop of young guns, instead of the TV coverage totally zooming in on Tiger, as happens when he is in the field. They not only show his every shot – several times – but also show his shots from the day before. I seriously doubt I’m the only golf fan who would like to see more coverage of other players. It’s to the point that when he’s in the field I record the golf and watch it from the recording so I can fast forward through the second and third showing of his shots!

  • Lam Kelvin

Dear Tiger, I’m as happy as you after your win.. After lots of your ups & down over the last two years.. Hope you play well in year 2012 and be the 1st to win 15 Major..

  • John A.

Luke Donald might as well pack his bags, because it’s only a matter of time before Tiger dethrones him and is #1 again

  • Wannabe

Sharp iron shots and a good putter. Every other player in the world should be breathing a sigh of relief because Tiger brings ratings and money everywhere he goes. I’m not a fan of him personally but I look forward to seeing him in contention in majors again. Hopefully he’s truly back because American golf needs him. Can’t wait until his next WGC event, I guess it would be the matchplay.?.

  • Bob

Congrats to Tiger for a well deserved win. Hopefully this will lead to a great 2012. Zach Johnson also turned in a strong performance on Sunday. Kudos to him.

  • diana brown

Fabulous. I am happy for you.

  • Clacio Labuerse

I see the fellaters are out in force now that the vile pavement ape bared his incisors again. Hope this feral boon dies soon so true golfers can enjoy the sport again.

  • ck

These real short fields are hardly a tournament of any meaning. It’s criminal that the money counts in earnings as do world ranking points.

Tiger is back somewhat. His chipping is not as sharp as it was–listen for the sound of slightly fat and thin shots. He may putt as well as he did from time to time. The Foley swing is not the answer. He will fight dramatic hooks and high weak fades. Yes, he will win a real, full field tournament again, but I don’t think he will win 4 more majors. His former dominance is gone.

The sad thing is he has not been humbled a bit. He is still arrogant, does meaningless interviews, and continues his petulant behavior. He still does not respect the game, nor many of the players nor probably himself. You can applaud his game and golf achievements, but look at the person.

  • jimmyrivers

Clacio- what exactly is a “true golfer”?

  • Timmy

Was sick to my stomach when I saw that Tiger won. I’m definitely not a fan.

very good win for you tiger,it was worth the wait, cause you was very patient, dispite what you been through,i had no doubt, it was just a matter of time. welcome back and good luck.

  • JoAnn

Congrats Tiger!! I can’t wait for the 2012 season to start. I enjoy watching golf and there was some very interesting tournaments this year but I enjoy watching Tiger more any any one. No one can hit the shots and cause the excitment like he can. It may have been a limited field, but all the players were good. I’d bet no golfer in this field just went through the motions. I’m sure they, just like Tiger, enter a tounament to win, not just to show up.

  • Ahmad Fadali

    Well done Tiger.!!!

  • patrick

Congrats Tiger!! Keep playing this great so you can shut up the people that cant appreciate you as the great athlete you are

  • Will

Tiger, I’m so proud of you. Finally. It feels good to say Tiger wins, Tiger wins, Tiger wins. Have a happy Christmas and win a major or two next year. Us americans have wanted this for a long time. So media shut up. Tiger won get off his back.

  • John Wilken

You people are pathetic. You would root for a serial killer. This is a man who cheated his wife and little children with multiple women. He represents everything that is morally wrong and your cheer for him??????

  • mike miller

How sweet it is! But ultimately it’s just another small (tiny field) stepping stone, like the Australian open & the Presidents Cup. The true tests will come on the regular PGA Tour in 2012 and here’s hpoing he plays a few events before The Masters next year!.

  • carl mott

    WELCOME BACK TIGER!

  • Kokojo

His fans knew he was capable and deserving of winning again…….now Tiger knows it, too ! Looking forward to 2012 !

  • patrick

John Wilken people make mistakes and Tiger is just normal people like everyone else. Anyway we are talking about golf here not Tigers personal life.

  • Horatio

I agree with Roger’s comment that Fred Couples played a part in this win – he ‘believed in a man…’. Tiger returned Fred Couple’s belief in him with superb perforances at the Presidents Cup which included clinching the win for his team with his singles match. He became a winner again in Melbourne and that reverberated with what occurred here.

    mrtour^^
tw shows you 71wins tournament already. do u want more?. ok just wait til next year.

  • Andrew-Sydney Aus

Where are the doubters hiding now!!!!

  • Susan

17 and 18 when it mattered the most. says it all. great to have Tiger back in the W column

  • Aiken

Absolutely astonishing! Especially the birdies on the closing holes! Flawless golf he’s played at Chevron. Tiger, congratulations on your victory! No doubt he’s going to get a couple more wins and majors next year! Really looking forward to it!

  • Jack N.

Sorry dude, not a real win. 18 man field, not PGA sanctioned. Baby steps, though. Baby steps.

  • steve

I thought Zach Johnson was outstanding even if he came up short. That chip shot on the green was great. Good for Tiger and good for golf, but not everyone could have stood up to Tiger and Zach gave him everything.

  • harold

you Tiger lovers make me puke..it’s like your life isn’t complete if Tigers not winning. Get a life and cheer for someone who has character. Tiger is an a-hole and always will be.

  • george

BIG DEAL where were the “big boys?

  • hotwater

    shaun^^
good to see you. whatz up?
i think you’re very a good n nice man that congrats to tw. thats why i told you, you’re very a knowledgeable in golf. rory won in hong kong lee won netbank(?) think about next year golf, we gonna have a fun^^ lets movon golf.

  • octopus

PGA TOUR Comment Policy? there isn’t one.

  • Susan

limited field, quality golfers, tw moves up 20 spots in the world rankings, back where you know he belongs, end of argument

  • Slink

I enjoy good competition and that is what Woods and Johnson had today. Johnson plays too slow however and Woods had to put up with his slo mo nonsense. So well done to the victor. BTW, the commentators are so bad I hit mute every time Dan Hicks or Mark Rolfing open up their mouths. You’d think NBC can find someone to better report the action rather than the hyperbole and obvious remarks from those two “pros”.

  • Jose

    Great Tiger !!!!!!!!!!!

Without Tiger in the board of winners, the PGA tour is not attractive.

  • Susan

Slink: at least Johnny Miller was absent. He would rather choke than pay tw a compliment at this point. and at least Rog was there — gotta love Maltby

  • X24 hot

George- the so-called big boys were stroking each other in a smaller event. And will you people please put your morality badges away. Stop comparing him to suspected criminals(Kobe and ray Lewis) and SERIAL KILLERS!! Are you f’ing kidding me. The guy cheated on his wife and now there divorced. If you think you don’t know someone who has done the same thing you’d better look closely at your friends. It’s more common than tattoos these days. It’s not right but it certainly isn’t against the law. I really feel that the anger comes from tiger not being white for about 80% of the peeps out there and because it’s golf. Why didn’t everyone demonize magic Johnson I mean he cheated got HIV and could have given it to his wife. But not many white guys at the top of that sport. What about Jordan for that matter? Very interesting.

  • HWI

BEST Sunday golf day in the past two years!! I knew it was coming……this helps ratings, golf sales, new golfers wanting to start playing, Christmas spirit…..you name it – it helps everything.
Thank you Tiger for making it back to the fun and excitement of the good-ole-days – you inspire us all!!

  • jimmyrivers

    x24 hot

    Nail on the head, methinks.

  • Jamora PH

Awesome! It was a relief to many of your fans and followers that you finally got the 1st “W” after quite a long, disappointing and frustrating wait. I admire your courage, determination never say die attitude! We are very pleased indeed and looking forward to more W’s. Congratulations from Philippines!

  • its alright mom

Great win. The tour needs him. Every guy with a tour card just breathed a sigh of relief. The big money purses and perks will continue. The king is back! Can’t wait for January.

  • X24 hot

John wilken- people killing each other, people starving, people pepper spraying each other for an x-box and tiger is what’s wrong with the world. You are looney. What’s wrong with the world is there’s too many people on it. We need to thin the herd a bit. Lets clear that up on another day. Just enjoy tigers win.

  • Billy B

This oughtta shut up all the haters and all the morons who thought Keegan should be on the President’s Cup team. Let this jump start your ’12 season, TW. Get back in that majors chase, now!

  • hotwater

    lucy^^
ah……. get a life^^ your pig won golf tournament.

  • Casey Friend

Congratulations to a fine win and hope you have the best year both personally and professionally in ’12. Happy Birthday to come very soon. No surprise this Tiger flies like an Eagle.

Congrats also to Freddie for having the chutzpah to stick to his guns. Love to see you healthy, happy and WINNING FOREVER!

  • Manish Bindal

I am very happy today to see Tiger roaring back once again. It is really good for the game and certainly will bring lots of fans

  • john

tiger is back i can start watching golf again……yahoo

  • jake

wonder what steve williams has to say after tigers win?

oh wait, who cares hes a caddy and gets more attention then top ranked golfers

  • Josh

@X24 Hot: I couldn’t have said it better myself. If they hate Tiger that much, then they don’t know about science. Yes, Tiger is not fully white and that is driving a lot of these guys crazy. It has nothing to do with him cheating on his wife. Most of these haters are probably habitual and chronic cheaters themselves, but they hide behind the keyboard and scared to hell to reveal their true problem. Tiger is black amerasian, and that drives them nuts.

We golf true lovers don’t care about that. We just love golf and great players and Tiger happens to be one of the greatest.

  • harold

x24..you are a rocket scientist. It’s not that he’s black it’s because he lives a lie and will say whatever people want to hear. He’s arrogant and thinks golf and life owes him something. Whatever happened to his buddha roots and oh yeah where is the buddha bracelet that he said he was gonna wear. He’s a fake and the only reason he isn’t screwin white chicks is cause he got caught. You guys always think it’s because he’s black. I think Brett Favre is a jerk as well..last time I looked he was white.

  • Robert Taylor

Nice win, but really doesn’t mean a whole lot. He beat 11 players. Please!

  • bob

i admit youre good for the game. but dont toot your horn yet.only 20 players to beat and how many of them were ranked in the top 10. get it? not really much of an accomplishment. but a good start.

  • harold hater

Comment from harold – you Tiger lovers make me puke..it’s like your life isn’t complete if Tigers not winning. Get a life and cheer for someone who has character. Tiger is an a-hole and always will be.

harold your name is the one with the ( a & o ) in it so guess you know alot about this subjest. You seem reeeaaall experenced.

  • richardpao

its great and wonderful , Tiger is back . you are the one we will support always. be happy.

  • Just a golf Fan

I have been a fan for over 50 yrs and been a tiger fan since he was an amateur.I never stopped being a fan. What he did was morally wrong and he paid a high price for it. But I believe he is good for golf.If you are a true golf fan and enjoy watching than Tiger contending in tournaments will bring more fans and ratings.I love golf and the best shot I saw maybe ever was Bill Haas out of the water to win Tour championship and Fed Ex championship.

  • Belton & Lucretia

Tiger:”What happens when one attains faith
One is able to see life in a different light, thereby creating a new life for oneself. It will open a fresh spiritual life, which is cleansed by the force of great joy and quietude.”Continue to be true to yourself,to love your children and to excel in golf.
Congratulations and much success in 2012!Belton & Lucretia

  • BeanerECMO

It’s grrrrrrreat!! I just wish they wouldn’t try to change his personality while on the course; i.e., he is intense, he is focused, he’s on the job, he doesn’t need to dial it back (that is internalize it); that’s not him – hand slapping going from one hole to the next; e.g., Zach, Watson etc.. After the round, fine – give autographs; thank the fans; talk to the fans/kids – before and during – forget it. Finchem et al – get off his back; he’s your cash cow; you know and and don’t begrudge it.

  • Vincent

This is a long waited win not just for Tiger, but the for the Game of Golf!

    Thank you, Tiger!

  • Nick

It’s a step in the right direction. Tiger won’t be back until he wins another major. I said that Tiger would win again next year a couple of times. He might even win one major.

  • Nick

Tiger should also drop “W”, “traj”, and “reps” from his vocabulary. Tiger should learn some humility. Oh yeah Tiger should tip like there is no tomorrow.

  • Allen Summers

It’s hilarious to me that he plays so poor at the President’s Cup, but the media crowns him with ‘closing the cup out for the Americans’ like he actually contributed. He did nothing!!!! This week’s win doesn’t mean a thing. Where was Phil, Luke, Lee….when he wins a tourney with a full field of consistent pros, then he STILL won’t be back–but at least it will be a win the media can bolster him with. Tiger threw his career away when he left Butch Harmon.

  • vic dimagiba, philippines

win or lose, i make it a point to wake up monday morning philippine time around 4 a m to watch round 4 of golf tour where mr tiger woods play. to me time flew away very fast. the tiger howl of victory was amazing and nostalgic and i woke up my wife when i howled too. congratulations SIR

  • Vivien

Congratulations to Tiger, his play was better than we have seen for a while. As others have said, lets wait until there is a full field with other top players on a weekly basis, and ones who are not tired after a long season.. I also agree that the world points out of this match and the one Lee played in are wrong. They are out of season games with limited players, the money doesn’t count so the points shouldn’t count. There has been a lot of excitement in the games this year, even the ones Tiger wasn’t in. I would like to see Tiger and our Tour players travel and play other courses more, like the Europeans do, and still manage to do well.

  • Reggie

Congrats Tiger! The Tiger is back. Forget the past misfortunes and now focus on being the best golfer ever with great humility this time around. You really make PGA tick together with the golfing world, fans, media and haters…

  • Vivien

When I mean other courses – I mean in other parts of the world.

  • HAPPY FELIX

I knew you would come back! An exceptional talent such as yours cannot just evaporate itself.
Living in Thailand, I was all of the 4 last nights just to watch you.
I will be up again every time you play. It’s worth the effort!

  • lucy

I don’t really care about the dog,or pig.

  • mish

Champions are people who get up even when they can’t!

  • Casey Friend

Great Job…keep it up and who cares about #1? You will always be #1. Anyone who says “I want to be #1, like Rory did today, isn’t worth watching..no humility.

You are the best and always number one, without ever saying “I’m number one”….Jesus

Sleep tight, can’t wait to see you next on TV.

  • Pius One

Congrats to a man who fell and fell hard! Got back up against insurmountable odds and injuries…not to mention the nay sayers, and found himself in the winners circle. Maybe it wasn’t a full field event, but I didn’t see anyone discounting it when Graeme McDowell upset him last year!Give it the same weight. He’s played well in the last 3 weeks and that says a lot!

Oh yeh, those of you who are morally perfect need to wake up. You’re human, and your moral highground is more than likely only in your imagination! You’re just as flawed as the rest of us!

  • Jim

Welcome back Tiger. We thought you had lost it for a while buddy. It’s understandable that you went into a little funk fog after the incident but that was championship action. If you could get back to number one that would be butter. Better yet, when you get back to number one… You put the “O” in golf.

  • Susan Louise

Its great to witness the results of another swing change, all the work, patience, persistance and trust required to again excell,
WIN…..You have earned this comeback through and through.Congrats!!

  • zek

@ Dave, I this year had SOME exciting moments like bill haas chipping to 2 feet from the water that sort of thing. But you have to admit though after watching this past for days, I can’t even count the number of exciting plays that TW made. Ofcourse there were other great plays from the other players, but lets be honest with TW on the course there sure would be countless excitement made and that’s a great feeling to watch at least for me.

  • moira

Tiger Woods – The COMEBACK KID !!! Kudos and more wins in the future for you Eldrick !

  • BuddhaRocs

1 down after 16 holes, birdied the last 2 to win it….The stare, the 2 putts on 17th and 18th, the fist pumps, the roar….Now I have a reason to watch Golf again. Well done, Tiger, well done.

  • Janice Morris

Well done Tiger! & welcome back. You are always a thrill to watch & most of all, I love the incredible shots you make (being a golfer myself).
Put the past behind, you can’t tell me others don’t cheat. They are just jealous of you and you know, it takes 2 to party. Nobody is perfect and you’re only human.
    Congratulations once again.

  • octopus

tiger has just won an exhibition “world challenge” between 14 americans and 4 internationals. the four non-americans were choi, day, casey and laird. no donald, westwood, mcilroy, kaymer, or scott. not much of a world challenge. some of the comments here have almost convinced me that tiger has just won the 2012 grand slam. but he hasn’t. he has beaten a bunch of guys in holiday mode plus a guy (casey) who needed practice. he went 2 and 3 in the pres cup, did well at the aust open and showed more improvement in the chevron. but he is not suddenly the tiger of old, the one who used to dominate the game. anyone who watched him during this non-tournament will tell you that his game is a long way from his best. 2012 will reveal the story. how hard is this to understand?

  • X24 hot

Harold – spoken like a true racist at least the “white chicks” part. I don’t build rockets but I would gladly buy a ticket for you to board one off the planet. Do you really think you know any of these people that you watch on tv you intellectual imp. THEY ARE PEOPLE HAROLD THEY LIE. I know it’s a big shock but I’m just trying to prepare you for adult life. Maybe his budha crap wasn’t working so he went back to what does. Who cares! Just watch the amazing golf or in your case listen to it on radio that way there’s no color barrier. By the way you saying you don’t like farve is like saying you have black friends. It screams cover- up.

  • Ian Stewart

    Congrats!!

The Tour has just got a whole lot more exciting again – It will be interesting to see how Luke, Rory and Lee react especially Rory.

I agree with a lot that has been said about him personally but on the Golf course he is truly arguably one of the best if not the best golfer ever.

  • jack

USA will be happy and we shall be sad that we have to watcnh again every single shot of a weak golfer. A man who cannot hit a driver, still spits on a course, let his clubs fall on the ground, smashes them in the ground, never has a smile, can only give interviews talking his own ego, and the commentators make him the ultimate golfer again when he wins a holiday event, where nobody is in the mood to compete at all, and give him ranking points for such a miserable exhibition tournament. He is not a good thing for golf, like nice people as Stricker or Kuchar are, he is a very good golfer but a very unpleasant person and no example for young people. He will win again, but let us sure hope not as dominant as he was, that would be awful for world golf.

  • Leland Whitehouse

It was apparent that Tigers A game is not back on the 14th when he used the iron instead of his 3 wood and his putting is still off and yet HE WON with his B game. Wow

  • REDS

GREAT WIN NICE TO SEE YOU BACK IN THE WINNERS CIRCLE

  • Jason

Good to see tiger win even in a small field event but his disciples are so predictable. He is not suddenly a real threat to be no1 again, rory won a proper tournament in great style this weekend so it will be very interesting next year but how on earth can u go so far up the world rankings for winning the chevron?? Ridiculous .

  • BBB

Congratulation Tiger! Well deserved W. So good to see you winning. Its been a long wait but its worth it. Keep working at it and hope to see more W in 2012. Its also good to see that other players like Zack, Kuchar and KJ Choi are playing well. It makes it fun to watch when everyone is playing well. Congrat to Zack too. He played well.

  • Timothy

CONGRATS Tiger!! Soooo good to see you back in the winner’s circle again! I look forward to an amazing 2012 season of many wins, including winning multiple majors! Not forgetting the No.1 ranking! Go Tiger! God bless you!

    Great fan in Singapore

  • Russo

Where are all the Tiger`s haters now?

  • Tom Boonen

    Here I am.

  • Amar

Congratulations Tiger. It was just waiting to happen, and sooner the better. Nothing can keep a player of Tiger’s calibre down for long. The game of golf is richer, and golf lovers are delighted.

And the critics needs to focus on his golf and his qualities as a player.

  • JJ Lam

More coming including >4 majors! Keep it up Tiger and we are with you!

  • Pok

    Congrats! Tiger…..
You Commercial revenue will increase with you win.
The golf world will come lively again with you win
We, at asia will have sleepless night again with you win…haha ( live telecast was at midnight in Asia)

  • Joe Bloggs

Robbed last year after playing great down the stretch, you can’t account for bounces off trees and lengthy putts. Looked like luck was against him again this year but an even better pressure shot and clutch putt gave a more than well earned victory, hats off to the man, does anyone else make the game this exciting? My heart was pumping watching 17 and 18

  • Rocky

    3 points:
1.-Interesting but his game is far from being top notch he still has not played 4 rounds under par. When was the last time most of the guys in this field played 2 or more rounds at/over par this year the field was less than impressive this week end. His winning a tournament in a limited invitation field of his buddies, beating #44 on the PGA points list by one stroke, in his own tournament on a course he probably has played alot, doesn’t make him TW of old. Good show but still lots to work on.
2.-As for the comment name 10 players that played in Hong Kong last week is just a matter of perspective the average US citizen probably couldn’t but most European or Australian would
3.-It blows my mind to think that a limited field tournament such as this one can count for WR points but then again people will move boulders to see him win. In my view he has enough talent he doesn’t need the additional help. Happy holyday season and good luck next year

  • Indra

Never gave up hope on you. Good to see you come home again.

  • mahmoud

The best golfer this world has ever seen has got a taste of victory once again! 2012 should be a BLAST!

    GO TIGER!!

  • botsokok!!!

that’s the old tiger! winning where it seems impossible. last 2 holes with 1 behind leader! go tiger! renew and regenerate!

  • Alverno

Its not that I don’t appreciate other golf champions but the excitement in watching golf is never the same without Tiger in contention. We hope that you will keep on improving and win some more majors. Congratulations.

  • PC Thua

Congrats Tiger Wood. You have done a lot for world golf.Verry happy you back to road to No. One.Hope to have you here in Viet Nam some day!

  • Frank W

Conga-rats Tiger! It’s about time we put some excitement back into the game.

  • Jose manuel gonzalez

    Great for golf

  • James

I told all of you that Sunday was coming. Lucy, why do you bother to post if you don’t like anybody. You need to go to the cooking channel. Dave, come on man. Bob, a true hater. Scott, glad to see you using good sense and where in the world is sean smith?

  • Gazuccio

Congratulations Tiger on a job well done. Am I surprised? NO!! You have been knocking on the door for the past month! 2012 is your oyster…go get it! Golf will once again be worth watching! All the best going forward…keep the focus, keep the drive, and go get that record!

  • James

    Congates, Tiger.

  • James

Octopus, you seem have as many brain cells as legs. Try doing some crossword puzzles or something.

  • Ron A.

Golf hasn’t been the same without you winning. Great job Tiger and I hope this victory leads to at least five more majors.

  • Allen Wombacker

A breath of fresh air for you Tiger. It was a challenge just to watch you on the final 4 holes. But in the end you played like the Tiger of old. Congrats and good luck during the 2012. Looking forward to seeing you at Kiawa Island.

  • Dom

It is great to see him back in the winners circle. He is good for the sport and amazing to watch as it is to watch all the greats. As you never now when there going to hit a shot or do something that few other can do.

As for all the critics out there, what he did outside of golf has little to do with him playing golf, you can be excited about watching this guy play golf but not condone his off the course behavior. I for one don’t look at Actors, Athletes as a role model. I watch them for what they can do in there prospective sports or movies. If I did then I wouldn’t watch any sporting events, movies, follow politics etc. because these people are people too and make terrible decisions in general as does the drunk down the street or the local yocal.

  • arthur

CONGRATULATIONS TO TIGER…it is nice to see him coming back into action

This of course, won’t please his detractors and will be a bitter pill for those who completely wrote him off, to swallow.

However, love him or hate him, he is a true golfing genius and history will record it as such

  • Conneely S

First off, congratuations to Tiger. Second can someone explain to me if there’s a legit reason this tourney is worth 44 WR points, the Nedbank is worth 38 WR points and Mcilroy picks up 38 for winning in Hong Kong. Completely ridiculous. It’s farcical that these exhibitions can offer points in the first place but to actually grant more to the winner of this than the Hong Kong Open is off the wall. I’m not interested in people explaining that it’s because 18 of the world’s top 50 were on show here, because it’s a money spinner, no way should the winner claim more points than a player that has beaten 154 players in a sanctioned ET event even if the vast majority of them were outside the top 30 in world ranking. It’s not comparing like with like to give the 2 tourneys anything like the same weighting.

  • Brad

this is a joke that he picks up even one world ranking point
He wins ina field with 18 players vs Rory and Lee winning events this weekend with 150 players in each — why is everyone so excited? He plays with his buddy Stricker the first day that Tiger himself picked — this was a comedy show compared where the 2 big tournaments this weekend took place __ get off the bandwagon — see what he does in the 4 majors next yr with the FULL Field

  • URR

Tiger beat 17 golfers! You’d think he beat a regular field. What’s aal the hype??? And as for the world ranking points …if that’s not the worst depiction of what should rank in golf!

  • Alex

Great week of Golf Tiger in tough conditions. This win was way overdue and i look forward to seeing what 2012 brings for you

  • Justin

This is only step one, but it’s a huge step!! Well done Tiger, haven’t seen you close with two-birdies for a dramatic win in ages it seems… I’ll be rooting for you next year at Augusta when you have the chance to officially silence all critics.

  • rikk

18 player field. not a sanctioned event. WHO CARES!!

  • Gene E. Yuss

Amazing how everyone gets all jacked up about this. A win against a very limitied field of guys who are tired from a long season and presidents cup and only real concern is getting home to family.
Show me something in 2012 and then I’ll be convinced.

  • STEVE S

YOU DID GOOD WORK TIGER. I DO NOT WATCH GOLF VERY OFTEN WHEN YOU ARE NOT THERE. IT LACKS A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF EXCITMENT. WHEN YOU PLAY I CANNOT MOVE FROM THE TV. IT WILL BE GREAT TO SEE #1 IN THE FUTURE.

  • Mitch

Great win Tiger !!!!! Keep it up !!!!!

  • Evy Frullani

Would not call a victory with a “selected” field of 18 as cause for stating that TW is back. Lets see how he gets on when playing with a full non selected field and played during the golf season. Why does this comp qualify for world ranking points with such a small and selected field. If qualification was through world rankings TW would probably not even have qualified.

  • Craig

Great golfer, not such a great person.

  • X24 hot

Rocky- piraya junhasvasdikul? You follow him? He placed 4th in hong kong. I can’t remember how to spell the guys name who was 7th! So get real about the field there.
Brad- lee beat 11 peeps in an event just like chevron only smaller
And all of you – all these guys play the same courses against the same guys every year. By your logic the guy who has played any tournament the most times should win because they know the course or like it. That is crap. all of you condemned tiger when he lost it last year, and this year he went birdie birdie to win and you still say he’s done? It’s a comical response.

  • JAVI

    What a great day!
I’m writing from Spain and apart from my joy for Tiger’s win,I’m even happier to discover
that there is a huge bunch of you Americans who
have finally overcome Tiger’s weakness (excellent writing Josh).Mark Twain said once:
When you are old you never regret whan you’ve done but what you didn’t do.
Hopefully the day has come when here we just
    talk about golf.
All the best for you Americans.

  • Guy

Limited field, not sanctioned, his tournament, what is the big deal! I guess this will give Johnny Miller something to talk about. I’ll quote him for you. “Better look out Tigers back”. Golf use to be about honesty, values and integrity. Guess that has changed.

  • Frenchie

Congrats Tiger you did the finish you had to do, unlike last year against McDo, and that means something ! Yet, i agree, limited field and too much worldpoints, but that’s secondary…too bad he doesn’t play in Dubaï against a hot Rory, Westy, Kaymer, Donald and co

  • X24 hot

Why does everyone keep talking about the number of people in the field. When it comes to Sunday on any tournament, how many people are in contention? First of all they cut it in half after 2 days so 150 isnt the right number. But then are you really playing 70 guys or is it more likely that 20 guys have a chance. And in reality how many times does a winner come from outside the top 10 on a Sunday? It’s an invalid argument. And saying that the guys didn’t care or are tired? Come on do you really believe that those guys go out and play half way? I can’t believe that you dislike tiger so much that you would insult all the other golfers instead of giving him credit. And yes they should not get ranking points for this or the nedbank!!

  • RC

Congrats to Tiger. I didn’t think he would win again for a long time…if ever. I am not a fan but give him credit even though the win was against a very small but elite field.
A lot of the big names were literally worn out from so much play lately and that gave Tiger an edge. He was really hungry and it showed. However, he did not dominate the tournament and he still doesn’t look like the same extremely confident player he once was.
2012 will be a make or break year for him. Stay tuned…it should be fun.

  • PamZ

Thanks, Tiger. Golf hasn’t been the same without your old fire. I can’t wait for the 2012 tour!

  • carl connellan

Whilst Tiger desrved to win with his birdie birdie finish I fail to understand how world ranking points can be awarded to a silly season tournament with only 18 players.

  • Don Richards

I think the win is nice and everyone does deserve second chances. However, this wasn’t a real event. 18 players…really? Most of the top players in the world (Phil Mickelson, Luke Donald, Lee Westwood, etc…) not there…really?

I hope he does well, but let’s not overreact.

  • ralph g.

the man has no humility. the real test will be 2012.

  • Brad

    agree fully carl
also after the first round check the pairings
the PGA rule forever is “who posts their number first” Stricker made the putt on 18 Thursday and posted 3 under before Tiger posted his 3 under — who played in the final group, TiGER — they seem to set everything up for him — its joke and so is he!! I’m sick of everyone bowing to this bad tempered athlete
yes he is a good golfer, but a terrible role model

  • X24 hot

You know what tiger did that was the dumbest thing he ever could’ve done? He got married.

I’ve always been a fan of his golf. However, the part I like best is the excitement he brings with him. Without mentioning any names, many of the PGA players are downright boring!! The only “tournaments” I watch these days are ones that include either Rory or Tiger: that’s it! The announcers of the european tournaments put one to sleep and without Rory or Tiger there, it’s the best sleep I get all year!! WELCOME BACK TIRGER….THANK GOD!

  • joe

To Guy, You spoke about golf being about honesty, values, and integrity. I couldn’t agree more. Tiger Woods has shown none of the above. That’s why Tiger Woods winning any tournament means absolutely nothing given the obvious, self professed morals of the man.

  • whit

tiger iam a long time fan and and a 75 year old fan if you are reading these comments you have seen a lot of comments from me and i knew you were going to win this today and you did i have faith in you god bless you and keep the lord in your life

  • Marvin

Good win Tiger. I loved how you finished, birdie, birdie. Your Swagger and confidence is what I’m look at in tiger. It looks like he is more confident, happy and at piece. This is more important then any golf tournament. If you have these things then the rest will take care of it self. Good luck, Tiger in 2012.

  • Charlie

Well done Tiger! Hope 2012 treats you well. All the best.

  • Kevin

It was nice to be glued to the TV again. We just can’t get enough of this lately. I’ll bet the NFL ratings were at a season low. When you get your tunnel vision 100% back, everybody else watch out….

  • Derek Warner

Way to go Tiger. We all make mistakes, move on and remember who you are, the best golfer the world has ever known.

    You just have to remember….

    V/R

  • James

Brad and Joe, I’m sorry you are not a role model for your children because they really need one. Joe, I’m sure that your morals are great and you are a great example for all of us. But are making no point to this blog. Talk to your priest. Maybe you will find a role model there.

  • Javier Amaya Posada

Just great Tiger!!! I’m so happy for you, best wishes in 2012.

  • BILL

TO JOE RESPONDING TO GUY: Can only presume Joe, that you are not a Christian and the word “forgiveness” is not in your vocabulary. Well that’s okay, presuming of course, that you have no skeletons in your closet and will never one day seek forgiveness yourself. Presume you home is not made of glass. All the best Joe. You seem to be a bitter bitter man.

  • James

Brad, you don’t seem t have a clue. Just hate.

  • Doug Showalter

Put a real field on the course and lets see what he can do, not just 18 good players but the best which doesn’t include Tiger right now.

  • SO BOGUS

He beats about a dozen other golfers. BFD!!!
The INFLATED World Golf Points are nothing more than keeping Tiger in the top 64 so he can compete in the 2012 WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship. Golf has lost its core values and has fallen to the mercy of the media. The Presidents Cup proved it to me and the WR points approved for this mini-tour event was soooooo bogus. Someone should ask Finchem WHY? but nobody has the balls…

  • James

so bogus, so you don’t believe that Luke Donald should be no. 1?

  • Erik Jenkins

Although he played well, Tiger still has a LONG way to go. This “victory” was with a limited field at his tournament, where Tiger was surrounded by glad handlers and friends. Let’s see how he does when he takes his training wheels off…

  • kelprod

This tourney should not even have points awarded. It is no big deal and does NOTHING to make me believe Tiger is any better now than he has been in the last 2 years. Wake me when he beats a full field of the best players in the world. Winning the Chevron 18 does not count. Whoop de doo.

  • Clacio Labuerse

what a disgusting ape. hope he has aids.

  • James

Clacio, You are a real nut job.

  • James

kelprod, Like you, I can’t wait for Tiger to get to a full field tourny. I think he would feel the same way.

  • Tom

There is no such thing as a bad win so for the win I say good win Tiger. But there is a big difference in winning an event such as this and winning a real golf tournament. Without his points in this silly season event, which should have no WGR points Tiger is in the 60s on OWGR so don’t get to excited to quick. Though I hate it Tiger will win again somewhere sometime, and though so many of you hate it he will never dominate again.

  • Robert

Tiger beat 17 golfers in a non tour event. Yes, he is playing better, but lets not read to much into this. He almost won this little event last year..He still hasn’t won a PGA tour event in over 2 yrs…Like it or not….

  • Dave

Tiger – the true golf fan and community is glad to have you back. You won this tournament (birdie #17 and #18). Zach Johnson did not lose it.

Congrats on your patience and persistance.

    DRA

  • Nerod1968

I know this is coming..we’ve been waiting for this day to return. With the W, hope Tiger will be challenging the top world golfers and make 2012 the BEST YEAR IN GOLF. It’s been really inspiring to all golfers in the world alike..Congratulations Again !!

  • James

Dave, you must be a different Dave than who has been posting here. I’m sure that anyone in the field would have been glad to win.

  • Frank

Way to go Tiger! you’ve done it. We have waited with anxious anticipation as to when. Well done and may the Lord God Almighty be with you and bless you.

  • Luke

Even if there were 75 guys in this field- Tiger would have still won the way he was playing. World ranking points don’t mean squat when it comes to Tiger. Tiger is still the number #1 player regardless of “ranking points”. When another player can ACTUALLY dominate the PGA tour for 11 years such as Tiger HAS, then there can be talk and haters. Until someone can dominate like that, all the haters need to think before they talk. I will wager money he will win a major next year! Go Tiger!

  • Luke

If Tiger wins a major next year – he’ll be close to #1 again. It’s coming PGA TOUR- He is coming for his throne again!

  • Sean D.

    It was 2 boring years.
Golf is now worth watching again.

    SDL

  • Tim

Hmm, the Bears lost yesterday, the Lions lost yesterday, and Tiger won yesterday. There are definitely some cosmic forces at work here.

  • Brad

James — you must be a relative of Tiger
Yes – he is the best golfer ever but he sure hasn’t been a good sports role model for kids and if you think he has been — you are sadly mistaken!! There is no question that people have recently been discussing this with Tiger because his attitude in press conferences lately has been quite good — that should continue

  • Bruce

BIG DEAL! He beat 17 golfers that he invited to his own tournament and then barely for two missed putts from Zach. This is not a PGA win but beating friends on the weeknd at your local club.

  • Tom

It makes NO sense that an elite field of 16 players with NO cut can get all these world ranking points. TW moved to up 21st. Nick Whatney finished in last place 20+ strokes off the pace and makes over 100k. He doesn’t deserve any WR points. World ranking points should be limited to fields where at least 60 players are competing with a cut after 36 holes. If this is the case then why not give out WR points at the Lake NONA TV event??

  • Keith

Ma-a-a-n!! Haters be gone! *LOL* Those who argue against the talent level please understand that he wasn’t playing against amateurs out there. It’s amazing how your hatred for Tiger enables you to slight some of the best “young gun” talent in the game today in Kuchar, Mahan, Choi, Simpson, Bradley, Day, etc., to name a few, not to mention the seasoned veterans that played. My hat is tipped to Zach Johnson, Outstanding gamesmanship and player – he didn’t roll over and give the win to Tiger. Holiday season or not, no golfer plays to lose so get over it. And to those who are still hung up on his “morality” shortcoming TWO YEARS AGO!!! Please realize that this was a “golf” tournament (PGA Tour sanctioned or not) with a talent filled field where golfing skills are on display, not morality. Truth be told…, if this was a tournament based on “morality”, not one golfer out there, let alone you haters, would be able to make the cut. Now let him who has no sin, cast the first stone!? Congratulate.., don’t hate! Good job Tiger and good luck in 2012!!!

  • Garnet F.

Good to see him win, regardless of the size of field. That win plus Rorys’ and Lees’ plus Luke’s chase for both money titles are all good for golf.

  • James

Brad, Tiger and Barkley are not role models. Don’t put that on jocks.

  • James

The haters will Rory credit for beating KT Kim but won’t give Tiger for beating 17 top 50s.

  • MICHAEL P.

    Dear tiger,

I was so excited to see your victory!!, I hope now everyone will get off your back, keep up the good work,i know you can get back to where you were, Just keep going forward,You are the Best that has ever payed this game , DON’T FORGET THAT!!! keep your head up as always, keep it in the fairway, and kick some butt next year.. Am so happy to see you up there again!!!

  • Keith

Hmmmm.., so according to the haters, and by their definition of talent, this win would be comparable to Tiger beating a past-his-prime golfer in the US Open on one leg. I guess anybody could have done that!?

  • spellon

congratulations Tiger, im so happy to see you on the winning Circles. i want to thank all those who doubted and said he is done, his days are over, Tiger who? for the continues push and encouragements. to the rest of the PGA tour i say watch out for the big CAT.

  • gail

Amazing to read the posts from those who have very little clue about this event. Of course it gives OGWR points, as the field was the best of the weekend. “Rors” was playing against guys that couldn’t play on a Florida mini-tour and Westwood almost gagged in South Africa, but even he couldn’t blow that big of a lead. The Chevron had 18 of the best players in the world. At every Euro Tour event, there aren’t even 18 guys teeing it up that could win, much less even qualify for an event like the Chevron. Why do you think that the Eurp tour has to pay guys like Tiger or Bubba Watson more than the winners check just to show up? Because if they don’t, the event will be a joke. Stick with facts…Americans will continue to be paid to compete on the Euro Tour until they get enough decent players to make it interesting. Guys like Mulroy, Horsey, etc….just aren’t going to get it done…

  • Rod

Tiger has been a great player, perhaps the best! However his poor form of the last 2 years created a vacuum which has been gleefully filled by a number of very fine players. These players(Luke,Rory,Lee,Martin,Adam and others)deserve their world rankings and will not be easily shoved aside.Look at the scores, week in week out Rory averages in the 66-68 region per round and he is just a kid starting out!Two things are obvious, firstly golf is in great heart and the coming year should be fascinating and secondly x24hot knows as much about golf as I know about brain surgery!

  • Steve

We all know the world ranking point allocated to this events doesnt seem quite right, to get points with such a limited field but lets face it, most weeks there are only about 2 dozen players that have a real chance to win at most events so I guess a win is a WIN !!
It seems that 98% of people on here posting comments are pro TIGER and thats great! We should judge him on what he does on the course not what mistakes he makes off the course, he’s human like the rest of us and will make mistakes!! I bet many top sportsmen have had personal life issues and never let it get out in the press.
Tiger is not golf but hell the game needs him, the ratings go through the roof when he plays. I hope and believe that 2012 will be a great year for him, just look at the way he now can play with that new swing – look at the confidence he has now, and that is going to grow!!
War and Peace post over – GO ELDRICK !!

  • Bill Q

2012, here we come! Golf is better and healthy with Tiger playing like his old self. Yes, he made some mistakes anlong the way. Who hasn’t? Tiger bashers, get over it! It is not your place to judge anyone, that’s God’s jurisdiction! I hope he wins the Grand Slam in 2012! Go Tiger!

  • JL

well done to him,BUT it will be good to see him competing against the best of the european players,I don’t think he is in the same calibre to do so,only time will tell, wish him well.

  • Blaise

Couldn’t be happier for ya T-dubs!!! Great win and go get those Majors in 2012!!! Much love Brother!!!!!

  • James Hicks

WAY TO GO TIGER!! I always knew you would get back to form! Congrats on your first of many wins in this second chapter of your career. Can’t wait for next season, especially the Masters! Keep that determination and go out there and dominate!

  • Don Becker

Pretty convincing win; it will be more so when he gets enough confidence to put his driver to work.

  • Goodyma

Win over 18 other golfers is a great victory? Maybe for Tiger. Am tired of the press, the PGA and people thinking that Tiger is the only golfer in the world and is the “golf savior”. Still will wait to see him in 2012 on the course and in his personal life and to see if he has come back again. Won’t be surprised if stories of ladies surface again.

  • Peter Griffin

Great to see Tiger back and winning. I like that it seems to mean something again to him and if he has his mojo back….. good help them all! Jumping near on 30 places in the world ranking by winning one tournament is scary stuff. It may of been a weakend field due to The Sun City Challenge and McIlroy having a go in Hong Kong so he can challenge LD, even without 6 of the worlds top 10 there its still an impressive victory, especially how he finished. He’s coming back… the future’s bright….

  • Yogi

The master of the game is back. Watch out all you so called golfers!

He is the only person who can bring some excitement to the game of golf.

  • Peter Griffin

Gail – JFTR over 30 different winners on the European Tour this year. Don;t be so down on us… we hear it a lot from you (personally – not all the states) and the field in SA and HK weren’t too bad….. the top 4 in the world in action outside of the States for example. Lets love golf as a worldwide game eh, cos that it what it is. Off to change Stewie’s nappie/daiper…. he’s done a Gail in it!

  • DC

This tourney had a very small field, and most of the players already packed it in for the season. They played this tourney out of respect for Tiger. Let’s see if Tiger can win when it really counts.

  • shaun

I have already given Woods credit for his win,but people are getting to carried away with all this. There was only 2 or 3 top 10 players playing in a18 man field. We’ll only have a true indication of where he’s at when he plays against the best in a strong field in real pressure situations. I’ve always said there is to much Hype around Tiger Woods.. All this reaction proves my point.

  • Ric

It was just a matter of time. Now, everyone else on the PGA Tour will have that niggling going on in their heads. Watch out for the Tiger. Well done, Mr. Woods!

  • James

I hope stories of ladies do appear for Tiger. What’s wrong with being a ladies man?

  • Rich S

I can’t wait to see Rory and tiger go head to head at Augusta. My money is on Rory, but it is going to be a great golfing spectacle. It’s going to be 2012 or 2013, mark my words.

  • Allen Kemple

Here we go again We had great year to watch golf Lots of new players and nice tournaments I liked watching golf Now back to all Tiger Sportscasters almostn ruined him We will have to watch with sound off All you will hear is Tiger Tiger They call it overkill We will have to watch when he is 10 strokes back Good for Tiger bad for us ADK

  • David Guzman

Welcome back! Golf is not the same without the best ever at the top of his game. Thanks for the thrills!

  • Rod

Gail, let me guess, you wouldn’t be American would you?To claim the Sherwood field was the best of the weekend defies logic.Where were the world’s top 4 players(3 in SA and 1 in HK).Denigrating European Tour fields also is fraught with danger because the quality and depth of the fields has been improving faster in Europe than in the USA.Carry on believing,if you like, the Europeans wouldn’t qualify for a Florida mini-tour but please let me know when you have taken your head out of the sand! The American players have led the world of golf for a long time, but the fast growing strength of the world game makes such domination in the future unlikely.Ryder Cup results,Bubba’s efforts in France,Lee shooting 62,far better than anyone one else in Sun City,Rory on a great scoring streak,Martin back in 29 to win recently all point to increased excitement in the future!Week in and week out more and more players can win and that is great for the game!

  • James

Rod, until you get them to come over here to play on a regular basis you can’t compare the two tours. The majors will tell the tail. Also the world championships.

  • Keith

    Walter Hagan

  • Dan

Sorry to see he won. Get real tired of even seeing him. Why not put more focus on the other golfers. I see he doesn’t wear the bracelet that he said he would never take off after the scandal.

  • James

Dan, what has a bracelet got to do with golf? You people come up with the dumbest crap I have ever read. You wish and sh..t in the other.

  • Hack

WHO CARES ALL YOU TIGER SUCK UPS LETS SEE WHAT HE DOES WITH A FULL FIELD, DON’T FORGET TO GIVE TIGEY A BIG KISS WHEN YOU SEE HIM

  • James

Hack; you being one of the suck downs should give him a kiss when he wins his next tourny.

  • john casey

Tiger fought his emotions, maintained patience, accepted his vunerability, trusted himself, and when his final putt dropped, shuck the hand of a marvelous opponent, Zack, and beamed. Thanks E. Woods.

  • Gord

C’mon give the guy a break, he made a mistake and he’s paid for it. Other athletes such as Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan etc. did the same thing but didn’t have the stones to admit it in a press conference like Tiger did and did not take 1/10 the crap he has taken. The only other thing I don’t understand is no congrats from Greg Norman or Steve Williams, two more chumps that can hand it out on one end but not the other.GREAT WIN BY A GREAT PLAYER in a tough 18 man field on a tremendously tough course

  • shaun

James.. Is defending Tiger Woods your hobby?

  • Richard

Nice win Tiger. Now go celebrate at Perkins!!!!

  • James

Shaun, you must not be able to say pas..ion. That’s how I defend anyone unfairly attacked.

  • Derek

Great finish Tiger… after another solid week on the course! Keep up the practice and don’t be bashful to play in more than a handful of tournaments in 2012…!

  • James

Shaun, I don’t think anyone on these blogs is a saint and should not be talking about someones private life.

  • Jason

James , even a busted clock is right twice a day, get your face out of tigers crotch, jerk.

  • Jason

Congratulations to Tiger on finally getting back in the winners circle and to Zack Johnson for really making him earn it.

  • Mike T.O.

Congradulations Tiger. You have always had my respect because you always did your talking with your clubs. Come back strong and make the naysayers eat their words.

  • Rasmus

    Absolutely awesome Tiger!

Tbh, I thought you’d make an either 17 or 18 birdie, but not BOTH! Incredible stuff and legendary endning to a great tournament on a really hard course, though it wasn’t unfair at all. Thumbs up to Sherwood as well.

I hope you can keep the momentum going into 2012 with a T5/W in the Middle East and a Green Jacket in the spring :)

  • ironhead26

Tiger’s still the biggest draw next to Jack, Freddie and Arnie! His misses are getting closer and his “stinger” is back! Hopefully he gets one major this next season and wins 4-5 times……As Ron White says “that’ll shut her up!”
It will make for good theater in 2012! Let’s see the younf pups hang with “a old vet TW”….MAN WEIRD to say that staement but….C’mon friends you gotta love it!
    Good job TW!

  • DENNIS

GOOSEBUMPS!!!FROM 16,17,AND 18TH HOLE THAT’S BEEN 2 YEARS I HAVEN’T FELT IT…THAT’S MAGIC THAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR THAT’S WHY WE ARE YOUR AVID FANS.THANK’S FOR A THRILLING FINISH!!!!HOPE FOR MORE UNWAISTED TIME WATCHING YOU PLAY THE GAME OF GOLF……

  • Peter

Everyone is making too much of this win. This is almost an identical replay of last year, except GMac made that putt on 18 instead of Zack missing this year. There are horses for courses, and this course is a very good match for Tigers game, as is San Diego, which is why it is so curious that he is going to Abu Dhabi instead of re-establishing his status on the American tour. If Tiger had been so certain of his near future performance a couple of months ago he would not have signed a bag deal with some company that I can’t recall. He would have waited until winning again because the price would go way up. He is not acting like a confident player right now, instead he is acting like he wants a few quick bucks. If he is well off as everyone seems to think, then why is he making these decisions?

  • James

Jason, only jerks feel the need to call others names. Call your mom and get some booster training.

  • James

Peter he gave the winnings to his charity. He’s getting big bucks to play in Abu Dhabi. That seems smart to me , What about you?

  • fuzzy2

James…..pls be diligent about finding yourself a J.O.B. because clearly you have way too much time on your hands . When you do get one pull your head out of your BUTT !!!
And Gord…….saying Tiger “made a mistake ” is like calling the Atlantic Ocean a pond .
Also what Jordan and Bryant did was one thing but they did not present and project themselves as clean as a whistle and Daddy’s well brought up little angel . What a joke .
And as for Tiger’s lame apology , give us a break…..a scripted tap-dance with Mommy front and centre where he really never did say he was sorry . And by the way , has anybody seen Kultida since that day ?? I’m just asking .

  • JLO

It was nice watching him winning again, that’s what he needs, 2 or 3 more winning and everything will be done.

  • Tigers Done

It’s the only tourney Tiger can win. Let’s face it. Free WG points, just come and we’ll give you a bunch. Hell, he has to pay the few golfers that do show up and they would feel guilty if they didn’t show. Sort of like going to your Aunts house that has 50 cats during the holidays. You don’t want to but feel you have to go, after all she does give you a big check.

Tiger sponsors it, he selected the golfers who didn’t already pack it in for the year. If he selected more the 20 he may have lost. He’s still a loser in my book and the World Golf Ranking Committee should be ashamed awarding points for a less than 20 man field. WTF were they thinking or was Tiger paying them off too?

  • Shaun

James.. That’s good to know that you’ll stand by your man through think and thin when people attack him. I try to defend attacks on European Golf, but i get sick and tired of doing so often, especially when it comes to Gail..There is not enough time in a day for it..By the way, I can say pas..ion, I certainly saw it with Rory and Tiger’s celebrations yesterday. They were 2 GREAT golfing moments.

  • Golfer

Please focus on how great Tiger’s golf, not his personal life. Congrat to Tiger on his win.

  • James

fuzzy2, I see you are just like your namesake, not a whole lot of polish. I’m retired so I have plenty of time to get people like you straight on the facts of life. You don’t seem to have a clue.

  • James

Well Shaun, you don’t have to worry about me attacking euros because I love to watch them play. But you know I will defend this side of the pond.

  • James

Shaun, you can’t spell it out and get it through. pas..ion.

  • Sridhar Ramaswami

One simple fact: TW has won close to 30% of all events he has participated in; the next best is at 11 or 12%. The number is in low single digits for Luke and Westwood. No one, past or present, can come close to his record EVER. Just look at the people lining up the fairway when he plays and you know who everyone wants to watch.
Those calling him names and wishing him ill-luck only says things about your character. If you don’t like him, don’t watch–there is no need to get into the gutter.
Go TW–you are going to rock in 2012.

  • Steve Mika

Well, well, well. i see all of the Tiger marks have come out of the wood work to praise the God of golf. Not so fast marks. I hold your praises until Tiger wins in an official full field event. The Tiger event is no more than an exibition for televsion.

  • Brad

James – I bet you Phil beats Tiger at the 2013 Masters!!!

    Watch it happen

  • Keith

Great job Tiger! Great to see you back. Great for the game, if you don’t believe me ask anyone with a tour card!!!

  • Shaun

James.. I think 2012 will be an EPIC year for Golf, it’s all set up to be one of the best in years, can’t wait..I’d love to see Tiger and Rory go head to head in a Major.. The whole world would watch that, not just Golf fans.

  • James

Brad, I give them the best chance of winning the masters. I will give Rory a chance too.

  • Chris

The most impressive part of this victory is he did it without a reliable driver and average putting.
His iron play and scrambling ability is unreal! He has to be the only guy on tour hitting a 3 iron off par 5′s.

  • Peter

James, he is going after low hanging fruit. Why? This win has a huge asterisk after it, and any sucess in the Desert with a weak field will have the same impact. A full field event, a mainstream sponsor, something more “normal” would prove whether or not his game is back. I saw several signs of improvement along with a few major cracks in his game in this last event. We will see, but my guess is that it will be an only so-so 2012 for TW.

  • James

Shaun, I feel the same way. I’m almost giddy with excitment.

  • Harold

He is back!!!!!!, the rest of the Tour must watch out….

    Congrats!

  • James

Peter, I agree that this was not a great field, but it was a win and that is the most important thing for him. To get that first one out of the way is huge for his confidence.

  • Gst

He limped in, almost blew it again, he won with a weak field…

  • James

I know a lot of you don’t like Tiger, but yu must admit that he is good for the game. Just look at the people at the tourny. Big time excitement.

  • James

Gst, he limped in at the last us open he won too. But he won.

  • Singh

Well done Mr. Woods. Jus the driver needs fix since Masters is tight driving

  • Patricio

Tiger-you are still the same schmuck you have always been. You haven’t changed a bit. I can’t believe you even have any fans you self centered nothing. Here’s hoping you never win again. The worst thing is now all attention well be focused on you again and we will never see another player on TV again.

  • Shaun

James..Woods, Garcia and Scott have all somewhat got their games back this year.. It’s quite amazing really.. Weren’t they all ranked in the top 5 at the same time a few years ago? It is GREAT for the game to see them all playing well again. I reckon Tiger and Sergio will be back in the top 10 by next summer.

  • Tim

I can think of no blogs about Tiger or any other pro golfer on pga tour.com or anywhere else for that matter that attracted nearly 500 comments in less than 24 hours. Proof positive that Tiger is golf. So happy to see him win again. An epic final 3 holes on Sunday made my weekend. He will only keep improving from here. Jack’s record will fall. Even he would probably tell you that.

  • dano

OK, This is for all of the golfers who commented if at all about Tiger being back. For you non golfers my comments are for you to ignore. 1st of all, In the Presidents cup, Tiger had the WORST record for the americans, he played good only the last 2 matches. If the USA had lost the blame would have been on Couples for picking TW. 2nd, how can we put much stock on a charity event for 16 American golfers and TW wins on a (HOME)course that he has won numerous times. 3rd, are you going to say that this win is better than Rory and lee winning in a large full field this past week? 4th, if Tiger playes at Torrey Pines and does not win (ANOTHER HOME COURSE) that he has won numerous times are you goint to say it is a quality win? Bottom line TW will win again, but lets see it on a neutral course, see him win 2 -3 times in 2012 in full field, WGC’s and majors and then I will admit that he is on his way back.

  • m0ng00se

    welcome back

  • SWC

I want the golf channel and especially brandle chambele to say something directly to Tiger – I am sorry, I should have never said the things I said about you and your game – I have ink on my face now… I doubted you and tall the young kids on the tour how good they are etc etc etc… we just saw that they dont have it… come on bradle man up and apologies..

    BTW – Great WIN TIGER!!!

  • SWC

GST – weak field huh… like 18 of the top 30 players ( and lots of them in the top 10 and 10- 15)

    you a joke buddy !

  • Isolete

Congratulations, Tiger. it is great to see you again on the winners circle.

We all make mistakes but what you have done for the game and to help the ones less fortunate than you makes you a champion in my book.

Have a blessed Holday Season with your children.

  • Alex Ayerst

Well done tiger. Once a champion always a champion. Now that your back to where you need to be the game will be far better off because of it.
You are an inspiration for young and old. Keep it up. I look forward to following you over 2012. I believe it is time for you to prove you really are the best golfer in the world. All the best. From a Maori in New Zealand. Kia kaha i to kemu.
Have power and and strength in your game.

    All the best

  • X24 hot

Dano- last time, nedbank had fewer players than chevron and rory struggled beating a bunch of unknown Chinese and Philippine players. And you can try to doubt his momentum but tiger will be a force next year. See you in April.

  • dano

ok who is the butt head that keeps eliminating my comments. Did Tiger pay you to screen out all the negative comments. You jerks have my e-mail, let me hear

  • Jaime Lozano

Dave, Tiger played 26 tournaments in the last 2 years with a bad body and with many personal problems and he finished in the top ten 8 times. Professional Golfers usually play between 20 to 25 tournaments a year. Please tell me how many players who average between 20 to 25 tournaments this year finished in the top ten 8 or mor times? Maybe 3 or 4 at most.
That should tell you how good a player Tiger is. Stop the hate and see the light Tiger is the BEST player when it comes to GOLF….

  • Joe

Great win, birdies on 17 & 18 to win that’s the Tiger we know !!!! Looking forward to 2012 !

  • dano

x24hot, you are correct about the Nedbank, neither it or the Chevron should have any effect on the WGR since they are both non money events as far as the PGA and European tours are concerned. These types of small field events should not matter in WGR. Cheers

Tiger, you were fantastic! So happy for you and the golf world! You have given me much joy for over ten years now — and I look forward to the next ten years and more! Keep up the good work. Can’t wait for Dubai!

  • Dag

To the PGA Tour: where’s the other 126 players?

  • Shaun

X24 hot.. Can you just swallow some pride and give McIlroy credit where credit is due. I did it with Tiger.. Rory needed a top 2 finish to have any chance of winning the Race to Dubai and he WON!.. He was thinking of the bigger picture rather than his bank balance.. He is young and talented but he also has a brain to go with it. I thought he displayed what he is all about on the final day, He shot a 65 and holed a bunker shot on the last.. Your learning the habbit of winning.. Well Done Rory! You’re going to have a big year in 2012.

  • Bascome from Bermuda

Tiger’s win was nothing short of SPECTACULAR! I will re-emphasize what he continuously repeats: “Put yourself in position or contention…”

These words are immortal, as they can be applied to all of our lives, in various scenarios: job, family, sports and most importatntly, spiritual and mental health.

    Blessings.

  • Jaime Lozano

    # of top 10 finishes this year playing between 20 to 25 tournaments:

Rank Name #of Events Top 10

    1) Luke Donald 19 14
    2) Webb Simpson 25 12
    3) Jason Day 21 10
    3) Nick Watney 22 10
    5) TIGER WOODS 26 9
with a bad body and personal problems
    last 2 years.
    5) Matt Kuchar 24 9

    Average player 21 2

Dave, that should tell you the kind of player Tiger is. Wait until he is totally healthy again.

  • octopus

the octopus signs off for 2011, wishing everyone the best for 2012. congrats to these 3 players who jumped up in the world rankings last weekend. TIGER WOODS 52 to 21. ZACH JOHNSON 47 to 33. ROBERT KARLSSON 29 to 22. also, congrats to JIMBOB REDNECK, who finished tenth in a 14 man field at the disneyland open. JIMBOB has jumped from 2224 to 65. and it’s official (well, sort of). you will hear from me again if and when tiger wins in 2012. ps. James, for your information, an octopus has arms not legs. pps. the real octopus spells his name (in lower case) as you see here. go tiger!!!!!!!!! you’re the man!!!!! get in the hole!!!!! these catchcries, of course, are usually heard when tiger tees off on a par 5.

  • James

Shaun, I will give Rory credit for putting himself in contention for the euro money list, although I want Luke to win it. It should be a great match next week, can’t wait to check it out. Sergio is playing well again and it’s about time. I think he has paid his dues and then some. Welcome back Sergio.

  • James

octopus, hope to hear from you again in the near future. I’m not mad at you man, just defending my favorite player.

  • James

octopus, I agree, you da man, get in the hole and all that crap is stupid when yelled out loud on the tee.

  • Shaun

Jaime.. Your comment is not legitament.. Tiger Woods’ 9 top 10s in 26 events was over 2 years and the others you mentioned was this year. It was also only PGA Tour events. Luke Donald has had more top 10s if you include the European Tour.

  • DENNIS

TIGERISDONE,THANK’S FOR WATCHING TIGER WIN AND JUST BE HAPPY THAT THE GOLF WORLD IS SHINNING AGAIN…AGAIN THANK’S FOR TIGER’S THRILLING WIN….SEE YOU WATCHING NEXT YEAR……

  • barry hollahan

I love Golf, I love to both play and watch it. I dont care what any of you professional golfers do when your not on the links. I have been through a marital seperation and divorse. I therefore know what it can do to you as a person. When you were at the top of your game I could only watch with amazement. Your god given talent is unequaled. To put aside your personal challanges and to be able to focus on the course makes this by far your biggest accomplishment to date. Congradulations Tiger. We all are human we all are prone to error. All the best in the future. Merry Christmas to you and your children. Thanks for making great golf tv this weekend.

  • James

Shaun, do you think that the money list and no.1 player should be different? I don’t agree that they should be the same.

  • Shaun

James.. It would be a great achievment if Luke Donald won the money list on both tours and he would be the first to do it aswell.. I don’t mind who wins because I like them both.. I’m just hoping for a great climax to the European Tour season.

  • James

I just have a problem with the number one player in golf not having won a major.

  • Shaun

I don’t mind that James.. He has had 4 wins this season and been unbelievably consistant. He earned the World number 1 position and deserves to be their. He will win a Major one day.

  • Shaun

    Have to go.. speak later.

  • John P

    Congratulations on th W.
I believe in you and I want the field and the world to hear the Roar of Tiger again. Stay Healthy, Strong, and move forward. ONE PLAN;ONE GOAL…(W)

  • James

I hope he wins the British Open.

  • James

    Where is sean smith?

  • James

    Shaun, later.

  • Ron

Congratulations on a well deserved win. I hope now he can work on his “people skills” in terms of being more accessable to his fans. If he wants to know more what that is all about, maybe he could contemplate how Nicklaus, Palmer and Player have contributed to enhancing their sport. Being the best golfer doesn’t compare to being the best person he could be.

  • James

Ron, I see you didn’t include Hogan in your list. Too much like Tiger huh?

  • stoy

Gimme a break. He beats 17 nothings and rises 32 spots in the World rankings? This a very shallow so called victory. And yet he is now the favorite for the Masters. I think that a few other golfers are wondering what the US media is all about. The Messiah of American golf has returned! Please gag me!

  • John Feinstein

Way to go Tiger! Great playing! I love the way you finished.

  • RanMan

beat 17 other guys big deal!!!!

  • Michael

Big deal. So who did he beat . A tournament with 18 players, his chances were 18:1. Better odds than in Vegas. Nothing compared to what Rory did in Hong Kong or Westwood in Sun City. Well you Tiger jerks, let’s see how your boy holds up to real players.

  • Whipper

One of the greatest moments in all of golf.

  • James

Michael, what did Lee do that Tiger didn’t? Beside beat 6 more players.

  • James

    excuse me 6 less players.

  • James

People get on this blog and just start running off at the mouth with no idea what they are talking about, they just want to bash Tiger. No integraty what soever.

  • heywood friedman

I was at the tournament yesterday. In the seconds before Tiger sank the winning putt the silence of the crowd was remarkable. The spectators willed his putt to fall. Despite his failings, people want to witness brillance. While we might not fully forgive or forget, we will embrace Tiger for that reason.

  • Al Mendoza

Nice way to end the year and enjoy the holidays with a victory. Hopefully you’ll have more wins to come. You now turned the next page in your life so make it much better than before. Nobody’s perfect so make mistakes but we’re here to cheer you on.

  • Richard Ngow

Congrats Tiger and a very Happy Birthday! Ignore what all the self righteous doubters say. Some are just hurtful and hateful. Keep smiling and play golf. I’m from the far East and a big fan since you came on the scene and changed the face of Golf. What Freddie Couples said was right, you are the greatest golfer in his and my lifetime.

  • Richard Ngow

Hello Michael, please go back to sleep. Wait and see.

  • Byron

Well done, Tiger. Your (and our) long (inter-) national nightmare is over!!!!

  • Rich

Yea,small bad field ok,only 18 of the top 50 in the world.I would say thats a dam good field.I wonder if the hong kong open had 18 of the top 100.

  • caddymasteriv

It is nothing more than an 18 player exibition where every one earnes a good paycheck

  • Rich

you still have to play 72 holes against the best players in the world

  • michael doyle

    Yay, Tiger!

  • jack

Jack Nicklaus said Tiger Woods can still beat his record of 18 major championships — provided he can stay in control of his mental game.

  • jack

. “I mean he’s Tiger Woods, he’s the best player in the game. He may not be playing his best today, but he’s still Tiger Woods.”

  • mike

Tiger Woods does not have to appologize to the public for ANYTHING. Get over it, worry about your own life. Is your life really that pathetic to where you must bring down the greatest talent golf has ever seen? You people are sad. Congrats Tiger, the greatest golfer of ALL TIME!!!

  • Mark

I knew you would be back Tiger. Your perseverance paid off. Keep up the good work and can’t wait to see you in action in 2012!

  • Brads

YIPPEEEEEE FOR TIGER!!!! I’m giving out free chapstick for all the bumkissers!!!! We shall see….Keegan Bradley will be at the Ryder Cup…Will Tiger?????

  • Mike A

Well Done TW, I saw you at the Presidents Cup and saw a great player getting his mojo back and I also saw a very humble and grateful person. What you do off the course has never been anyone elses business. Those who do judge you need to look in their own back yard and get a real life…

  • zek

all you haters are unbelievable…you just can’t be satisfied that TW is back and he is here to stay. The last two years was that chance of the “young guns” to shine and some of them did. 2012 is going to be “ONE” sided because of you know what. It makes me laugh when haters say it was a field of only 18 and had there been 150 things would be different.Hahaha!!!

  • Tom

By what I heard and saw on the Golf Channel he was the only one in the tournament—– of course he won. What a joke!!!!!!!!!

  • pm

please tiger , join the european tour!

please golf players, stay healthy!! , free from all injuries and hinderances. lets get down to an exiting 2012!!

  • Tone

Yep, and now he’s not going to play again until late January. I just don’t get it.

  • Steve

Ok it’s a win. Kind of the same as if he won the club chapionship. Not even close to a full field event. Tiger will win real events and majors again. This win should not end his winless streak. Golf was in good hands the last 2 years. Great events with names like Phil,Luke,Rory,Adam,Webb,Keegan,Nick,Dustin,Kuch,Bill Haas,Steve,Bubba,Justin Rose,KJ,Rickie,Graeme, and the list goes on and on. I’ve been watching golf for 40 years and I don’t remember a time with the talet this deep in the feild. Welcome back Tiger, but your not alone any more

  • James

Tom, just show him and he will win. What a crock. He hit the shots, not the camera.

  • Shaun

Zek.. It’s good to see Tiger Woods playing well again but i disagree when you say 2012 will be “ONE” sided.. You obviouly haven’t been watching other players playing this year, in particular Rory McIlroy and the other top Europeans.. If you only see Golf through Tiger Woods you are a really sad person.

  • James

Steve, a win ends a win less streak, that’s the definition of ending a win less streak. Gee, what the heck is that?

  • X24 hot

Shaun – I never said rory wasn’t good. It was you in fact I think saying comparing these young guys to tiger isn’t fair. I just think you have to compare apples to apples. Look at the two leader boards. Compare the names between chevron and hong kong. Tell me rory beat better players. And rory is out of the race by the way. Mathematically no but reality yes. No way like doesn’t get at least top ten in Dubai. I just want tiger and whoever else in the last group on Sunday in April 2012.

  • James

Shaun, if you only see golf through the euro tour ,it is sad. It goes both ways.

  • Shaun

James..I support the European Tour and European players like you and X24hot support the PGA Tour and Tiger Woods.. I suppose it is determined by where we were born.. I also enjoy watching the PGA Tour, Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and some other American players. I’am not a narrow minded Golf fan, I really enjoy watching good Golf with all the top players playing well but a lot of people only care about 1 aspect of Golf.. Tiger Woods.. I think it is sad.

  • Dean

Tiger. So many people wanted to kick you when you was down.
I knew you’d be back and next year youl get another major I guarantee.
    Dean from Tredegar. Wales

  • James

Shaun, isn’t that what brings fans to the game? A phenom like Tiger? When a guy wins 71 tournys in the short time he has is something special. What euro or us player have ever done that? You can’t blame people for wanting to see a super star.

  • James

Shaun, the most prolific golfer you’ve had in the recent was Sir Nick Faldo and I don’t see any of you euros talking about him.

  • Shaun

X24 hot.. You played down Rory’s victory by disrespected the Hong Kong Open field where there was a lot of good players playing.. I have never talked down Tiger’s victory in Chevron because of the “18 man weak field” or “an exhibition with friends that where tired” like a lot of other people have said.. I showed Tiger the respect he deserved.

  • Tone

A lesser win perhaps, but a win’s a win. And he won it emphatically, ZJ wasn’t giving it away. I just wish he wasn’t having such a big gap to his next tournament. I reckon next year he needs to play more events in a row here and there.
Greatest player? Not quite, not yet.

  • X24 hot

Shaun this argument is done. Let’s agree these guys are good lets see them head to head in 2012 as many times as possible! I look forward to hearing from you next year. Enjoy the holiday!!

  • Shaun

James.. Me and a lot of people in Europe don’t like Nick Faldo.. He was an absulute JOKE! as The Ryder Cup captain. I respect his career but I just don’t like the man. Harrington has 3 Majors which is quite prolific, he is not in the same league as Tiger but who is.. Nobody.

  • Shaun

X24 hot.. I agree.. Can’t wait till April.. It’s going to be fun.

  • James

Shaun, I often wondered why nobody talked about him, now I know. I think he is a good annalist.

  • James

    gotta go, later.

  • Shaun

    See you later James.

  • G T P

    Brads,
The best thing to come out of all this is the vindication for what tour pros and intelligent fans knew all along…

It’s a good thing Keegan was at home in Vermont knitting Christmas sweaters with Uncle Pat when it mattered most.

    Thank you Freddy

  • David

was it just me??? I think when Tiger and Zach were on 16 tee, the group in front of them was walking off 18 green??? Slightly “out of position”….still happy to see Tiger win…and love the birdie, birdie finish

  • ease off

ok i know what tiger did is absolutely unacceptable but people crack me up when they constantly bash tiger for what he did and call him a bad role model for it… first of all, athletes are not exactly the best type of ethical role model for kids. they are highly competitive and success usually gets in their head tiger is not the first athlete this has happened to. second of all, bashing tiger like that makes you an even worse role model than him. kids are influenced by their parents A LOT and you are teaching your kids that the best way to treat someone who messed up is by bashing them. if you want good role models for your kids go to church.

the man got in front of the whole nation… no the whole WORLD and confessed his wrong doings… i’m sure if any of you had a close relative or friend who was going through this you would be there for them and forgive them and that’s all tiger needs right now… not as an athlete but as a person who is trying to recover

  • HAO

    shaun are you still there?

  • Shaun

Only just HAO.. I’m going to bed soon.. what do you want to ask?

  • HAO

do you have access to a telephone ?

  • Shaun

Why do you want to know that?

  • HAO

i want you to ring me ,its all good your not in any trouble . trust me.

  • Shaun

I don’t think it would be a good idea to post telephone details on here HAO.. Just ask me what you want to know?

  • HAO

let me worry about that, its my number going on.

  • Shaun

    Go on then.

  • HAO

    0422417677

  • X24 hot

Ease- did you really say go to church for kids role models? Why can’t people be good role models FOR their kids instead of finding someone to do it for them? And church? No thanks there are enough fairy tales out there. I don’t think we need fairies chasing tails!!

  • James

    Everybody call HAO

  • Shaun

HAO.. It says calls to this number are not available from my network. Are you joking around with me here?

  • James

I’m with you there x24 hot.

  • HAO

james if that happens i will make your life misserable .shaun im not playing with you thats one off my mobiles.maybee you can’t ring overseas from there.

  • Shaun

James is HAO’s number an American number? Can you tell me before I head off to bed? Thanks. It’s 1am here.

  • Shaun

Where are you from HAO? Give me your house number with the area code? I should get through that way. I’ll phone you tomorrow if you do.

  • HAO

iam in brisbane qld australia iam not giving out my house no iam not that stupid.my phone is with optus .maybee you have to ring from public phone.

  • Shaun

OK HAO..I will try tommorow from my house phone. Your 10 hours ahead of the UK so I will try in the evening our time, morning your time. Have a good day, good night.

  • HAO

    thanks shaun. cheers

  • Grrrr

    Tiger,

Wouahhhhh, the put on 17… It seemed off all the way. What a magic drop. Please, do it again later. Or don’t, and take them all by 4, or 6, there is NO one if you play like Tiger. NO ONE.

  • James

    Everybody call HAO collect.

  • carlrinsc

It was great to see TW do what everyone use to take for granted a couple of years ago…make the putts when the pressure is on. The putt on 18 was deja vue, back to the US Open at Torrey Pines. I truly hope that this win continues to build his confidence. Golf needs Tiger. When he’s at his best, the level of everyone’s game is elevated and the fans reap the rewards. Go TW!

  • lee

Hello World! Eat back your words and wait for the 19th Major record. Sooner than you thought! Golf is TW. TW is golf. Plain simple!

  • Dave

Harrington has won more majors since 2007 than Tiger. Just thought I’d randomly put that out there.

  • Dray

Someone made a comment about who was missing in this tournament and mentioned Phil. Yeah where is Phil? He rode in Tiger’s shadow for
years. Had plenty of opportunity to be number, especially the last two years. Minimizing Tiger’s win because Phil wasn’t in the field is ridiculous.
As for Tiger’s infidelity, get over it. If you believe that Tiger is the only one on tour, past or present, that has been unfaithful to a wife or girlfriend you need to wake up. Tiger got caught!! The media turned it into a spectacle. Scandal sells with high profile people. Question why so few golfers spoke out against what happened. They wanted the attention to go away. Hmnn.

  • Carol

Well, I will be on a lot of people’s list when I get done because I am not glad he won. The past 2 years has been heaven for me. I have been to alot of tournaments, saw Tiger at all of them, volunteered at Bay Hill, and watch and record golf as much as I can. I have watched golf for a lot of years, back when Jack, the greatest golfer to play the game, was in his prime. I saw the Masters in 86 and was so happy for him. I cant say the same with Tiger and here’s why. Thursday, when he was 3 shots back, the announcers were getting excited and you can tell by their voices and Friday when he took the lead, the tournament might as well have been over. The tone in their voices and their actions when it comes to TW change so much it is not even funny. And it is defintely not fair to the rest of the tour, when, the last time I looked, are doing the same thing he is and that is trying to win the tournament. I can not understand why, when there is alot of great players out there, that everyone wants Tiger to win. He has 72 wins on the PGA tour. He does nothing for the average fan, except ignore them when they want an autograph and is just downright stuck on himself. That is the reason he did what he did to his wife, because his name was Tiger Woods and he thought he could get away with it. And he did, for a long time. But, he did get caught, and he lost everything that was more important than his game and that he cant get back. He is arrogant and self centered and was never remorseful for what he did, he just apologized because he was made to. He, to this day, is just sorry he got caught. And the comments on here that he is golf is just wrong on so many levels. Yes, the ratings went up because of him and the prize funds grew, BUT, The PGA was here before him and it will be here after him, and there are alot of great players out there, that pull off tremendous shots, that deserve to be talked about other that TW. To disrespect them is wrong and that is what happens week in and week out. I didnt even turn on the GC today, because it would have been nothing but the Tiger Woods show. It is sickening; wow, he won, but lets go on and on and on about it. Get over it. Yes, he played 72 holes on the same course that 16 other players did and won by one. Enough said. I will continue to watch golf and I will continue to root for anyone and everyone else to win except for him because I am a fan of the game and there is so much more to the game than Tiger Woods. So, say what you want to me, about me, or about what I wrote, I dont care. It wont change how I feel and it wont hurt my feelings. He probably won again because he probably decided to go back what he was doing before when he was winning and that is having relations with multiple people. He couldnt win when he stopped and when the new swing changes were taking forever to work, so he went back to doing what he knew would work because he never had trouble winning when he was having his affairs.

  • Nathan W

CONGRATULATIONS TW! If it wasnt for you I wouldnt be playing golf. Good to see you back on the good foot and hope to see more of you working it up in the final rounds next year.

  • Mike the Portland Pilot

I was at the Chevron and from what I see Woods is making progress big time. Also encouraging is according to CAROL he “back what he was doing before” – so look out majors and look out Monica, Mary, Marjorie, Myrtle, Miranda, Meriah, Mona….. . Carol, do you know where your husband is??

  • Ralph Gantz

congratulations on your win at the Chevron tournament.I also heard that you moved to number 21 in the world rankings and congratulations on that.I always knew that a comeback was inevitable and that some day you will again be on top.

  • hao

carol why don’t you tell us how you really feel, don’t hold back this site needs a bit off excitement injected.i agree with you he was playing top golf when involved with all those women.you would have thought his advisors would have recomended he return to what was successful prior to form slump.in the special they done on him he was highly rated by the girls, some off them said he was like the engergiser battery in agasi’s commercial.it must have took away that excess energy and settled him down ready for golf cheers.

  • wolobofe

Congrats Tiger. It was only a matter of time.
Can’t wait for 2012. Golf is so much more exciting with Tiger winning again.

  • peps61

Agree with DRAY 100%….you’re right to the point. And speaking of analysts…think of the Golf Channel bunch: they wouldn’t even exist without him.

  • ian

the no.1 is truly back. It is time to change the world in 2012. To change the world ranking I meant.

the trumph will definitely a good celebration to end 2011, looking forward for more trumphs in 2012 and storm the world.

    Congratulation to my always no.1

  • James

For heavens sake all you TW fans. Had he been up against a decent field instead of those he selected as easybeats he would have got a walloping with that score. If only the TV coverage would concentrate on the whole field in most PGA Tour tournaments and not TW we could watch all players. He has no credibility as a man of decency.

  • peps61

hey James…I you’re right…watching Bo Van Pelt or Cameron Trngale is really exciting!!!! why don’t you play some golf and relax a bit..

  • Dave K

The weekend wasn’t the Tiger of old, but the finish sure was…and on a course and conditions I feel were the toughest I’ve seen the pros play all year, including the majors. If he beat a field of nobodys them the Fedex Cup is a truly a farce. Most of of the hot players involved in this year’s Fedex played in this event and most of them were nowhere in site at the finish.

  • James

I don’t know who this imposter is but it isn’t the same James that has been posting before this last one.

  • James

I am a Tiger fan and a Tiger defender, so other James, bring it on.

  • James

As far as the decency is concerned, I think he played very decently to win the tourny. If you people have a problem with his private life, then you go to the gossip column with it, it doesn’t belong here.

  • Carol

Yes, Mike, I do know where my husband is and HAVE never had to worry about it. We have a great relationship and neither of us have to worry about what the other one is doing. It has always been that way from 1995 until today and far beyond today.

  • Carol

Hao, if I said how I really felt about Tiger, they wouldn’t post it. But, I did come close to how I am feeling.

  • Carol

Way to go James! I agree 110%.

  • Carol

As far as leaving his personal life out of this James, it all ties into one. You can’t have one without the other. Golf is a proper sport, a gentleman’s game and the focus should be on how you play the game and how you conduct yourself on and off the course. Tiger took advantage of the gift he was given and acted like he was above everyone else. Like I said, there is so much more to golf than Tiger Woods. I don’t like people who think they are better than anyone else. Yes, he can play, and yes, he is good, but he is still only a person, not a god.

  • James

I agree that his private has everything to do with how he plays but it is still none of your business and to make it your business not very decent o f you. This is about golf, not who slept with who. Like said, take it to the the gossip column.

  • James

Carol, I guess you are real Kennedy hater too, following your train of train of thought.

  • Carol

No, James, I am not a Kennedy hater. I try to stay out of politics, so this has absolutely nothing to do with Tiger or golf.

  • James

Carolit seems like you think you are better than Tiger or me or anyone that has cheated on their spouse. Well I think that you are full of it.

  • James

Carol, so you just single out Tiger and golf to rant about cheating. It’s alright for everyone else.

  • James

It’s really funny how these Tiger haters come up with all these reason to hate. I think it must be something else. I will leave the real reason for all hate to your own imagination.

  • Carol

James, I am far from perfect, and I do not think I am better than anyone else, never have and never will. Quite the opposite. That’s what I get upset about is they and you treat Tiger like he is and he’s not. Look at the way everyone goes on and on about him. I really dont care what you think about me. But to think I feel that way when I am upset at the way they carry on about him and just seem to forget the rest of the tour is out there as well, Really?

  • X24 hot

Carol- there are no “gods”. And the fact that you want to tell us how tiger felt and feels is a sign of your delusion. You don’t like him. Ok, he didn’t cheat on you and he doesn’t cheat at golf. In fact isn’t your lack of a willingness to change your opinion or accept an apology your way of “being better” than him. You dislike him for his acting superior yet you then act superior to him by trashing his win and his lack of morals. We’ve all done things that are morally questionable to different degrees. Tigers mistake was a big one but in fact who did it hurt most? Him and his family? Or you? I think it’s clear that you can’t read minds so please don’t say that you know how someone feels. I think cheating is one of the worst things you can do but I don’t watch tiger for life advice I watch him golf. And your judgemental tone contradicts your point. You can’t demand an apology then declare it invalid when you get it, especially when you aren’t part of the situation in the first place. He owes you or the average fan nothing but the best golf he can play.

  • James

Carol, they go on about him because he has a record that is far and away better than anyone else out there. It’s just like Ali or Jordan or Beckum or any other super star.If you can’t appreciate that people want to see the best, then you know the way that’s sports are presented. The media follows the stars, and the biggest one out there is Tiger.

  • James

The euros are always talking the same thing. Why don’t they give the euros more air time? It’s because they have not done anything. One major and they think they are some kind of super star. NOT.

  • X24 hot

Has anyone seen or heard from brads? Um tiger beat Keegan by 20 shots. Not sure brads can recover from that!

  • Carol

The cheating has nothing to do with they way you and the media talk about Tiger, like he is the only player on the PGA tour and that is what bothers me. I told you the cheating ties into the package because I can’t respect what he does on the course when he had it all, a great looking wife at home, 2 kids, that will love him but probably be mad at their dad for ruining their family. He threw it away; he had they life that people dream of living. And you want me to be happy for him because he won. No, I wont and I cant. Not, when, I have seen it in person, people waiting for autographs and screaming his name and him just go on by and do nothing. He is arrogant and self centered, and I could go on, but the language has to remain clean. The problem with Tiger and the media, is it absolutely infurates me, the way they carry on about him. He is a golfer, not a god. Unless he is paying them, they should talk the same about the rest of the players out there. And they don’t.

  • Carol

The same can be said about all of the Tiger lovers

  • James

x24 hot, Brad has a post talking about how Keegan will be on the Ryder cup and will Tiger.

  • James

Carol, I feel the same way about you Tiger haters. What he supposed to do, sign autographs for two hours? Give me a break. You are just making an excuse to cover your hate. You are a fraud just like the rest of the haters. He is the best golfer out there and you can’t stand it.

  • Carol

He does owe the fans something because if they didn’t pay the tickets to get in to the tournaments, he wouldn’t be where he is today. It takes people to go and watch and spend money for him to get paid. If nobody went to a golf tournament, there would be no tour. You have to give back to your fans and I have two sons who are big Tiger fans and they both agree with me. One of them actually was more mad because of the way he danced around the isssues and said nothing. It really bothered him that he continued to try and hide the truth. When you are a public figure and a role model for young people, you have to answer to your public. You don’t want to have your life out there dont do something you are not proud of.

  • James

Carol as far as golf is concerned, he is a god, and I hope he starts to play like one again.

  • James

Caro your sons are what you made them. They think like you have taught them to think. Tiger has given his whole life to golf. How do you think he got so good? You as a fan go out and buy those tickets to see what he has spent his whole life perfecting. He does not owe you a thing. As soon as you realize that you can start enjoying golf and stop hating the best player in the world.

  • X24 hot

Carol – he won on Sunday that’s why we are talking about him. Don’t hate tiger for the way the media does their job that’s unfair. And all of you guys who train your kids to cry for autographs please stop! What are they for? What do you do with them? I see them as a huge waste of time. It’s a signature for crying out loud! I also wonder carol if you’ve ever listened to anyone else’s opinion. 2 people on here have read what you said and then come to the conclusion that you think you are superior to people. Take a look in the mirror before your next judgement your honor. And I don’t worship tiger but I can’t wait for him to crush jacks major record. Make sure you are watching in April.

  • Carol

I know why they go on about him, but even those other greats that you have mentioned and Jack and Arnie as well, didn’t get talked about like there was no one else. There is a way to talk about a person without disrespecting the other people in your sport. I have been watching golf since the 1970′s and when you see Jack and Arnie and Gary at the Masters and how the love and respect for each of them is there; you will never see Tiger and Phil be that way because Tiger wil NEVER be on the same level as Phil. Like I said before, there is so much more to golf than Tiger Woods.

  • James

Oh yeah , about that role model thing. You are your sons’ role model, and you could be good one if you stop delegating that job to some sports star.

  • Carol

Yes, he is. I know other players do it and one of them and we all know who he is and everywhere I have followed, Phil always signs and stays until forever.

  • Dave

‘The euros are always talking the same thing. Why don’t they give the euros more air time? It’s because they have not done anything. One major and they think they are some kind of super star. NOT.’

What type of players have won majors around age 22? Woods, Nicklaus, Ballesteros – greats of the game. That’s why McIlroy gets hype and he deserves it because it is not normal for someone so young to be so good.

  • James

Carol, you are right about one thing, that Phil will never be on the same level as Tiger. I think that Phil will agree with you on that. You are a worshiper of goodness and most of us are worshipers of greatness. I like my way better.

  • Carol

Then I feel sorry for you. I was hoping he never won again but now I will start all over and hope he goes another 700 plus days before it happens again if ever.

  • X24 hot

You be the role model carol. Let them know that everyone makes mistakes and it’s not the end of the world when you do. They should idolize their parents not people they watch on tv. America’s problems are all stemming from this crazy belief that athletes and movie stars are our role models. Because of the money they make. And when you buy a ticket it means you get to watch the event you don’t get personal access to the players. Some give more time by choice, you can’t put that burden on everyone. I’m sure some of those guys are just happy people recognize them. Some people just want to do their job. Either way YOU should teach YOUR kids those things.

  • James

Dave, I thought I would get a rise out of one of you. I never said they didn’t deserve attention, I said they were not in the same league as Tiger. I watch the euro tour every week and think they are great. They show just about every shot of Rory and I don’t have a problem with that, he deserves it. Just don’t tell me that Tiger doesn’t deserve the same coverage.

  • James

Carol, You can hope in one hand and sh..t in the other and see which one gets full first.

  • Dave

The equivalent point of McIlroy’s career to Woods’ is Woods going into the ’99 season.

Woods had 6 wins and one major at McIlroy’s age.

McIlroy has 4 regular wins and one major.

It is only fair when you compare the achievements of players at the same age. If you spend 13 more years on this earth, you’re obviously going to achieve more.

  • James

x24 hot, How am I doing?

  • James

Dave, there you go again, how can you compare the euro tour with us tour. I go along with the two wins over here, but come on man.

  • X24 hot

I would help but you don’t need it.

  • Agree with Carol

Carol, I feel 100% the same as you. Brilliantly written.
I lost all respect for Tiger when he DID cheat on the Golf Course at the Phoenix Open many moons ago. When he had the fans move a boulder and called it a “Loose impediment”. That was bullcrap. A “Real Golfer” would have acknowledged the thought from the fans but refused in the spirit of the game. The media did nothing, and the officials were so star struck of Tiger they didn’t dare say anything. I just shook my head and said oh my god what has happened to the real game of golf. The pioneers of golf would be rolling over in their graves. So Sad!!! Today if Tiger is playing in an event I don’t even turn on the TV or I may record it and turn off the volume as the announcers make me sick.

  • James

Agree with Carol, It’s been a long time since you have enjoyed golf. It must have been real painful for you. You have my deepest sympathy. You must love pain and agony since you still watch. Tiger will probably around for a few more years so you have a lot more pain to endure, I hope you can take it.

  • Dave

Because you can James, they are similar tours. Get over it.

  • X24 hot

When the person who agrees with you is a sheep that even uses your same name it’s a little creepy.

  • James

You people are pathetic. It’s obvious you don’t play the game, if you did you would respect the skill and dedication it takes to play at the level Tiger has displayed all his career. He didn’t need those guys to move that bolder to win golf tournys.

  • James

    Dave, dream on.

  • How delusional

You know what amazes me on this thread? The hundreds of bozo’s that really think Tiger is reading these forums. “Congrats Tiger”, “Glad Your Back Tiger”, “Great Win Tiger” “Can you father my child”. Oh my god how stupid can you get??? Does delusional come to mind? I need to take some Pepto!!!

  • James

    x24 hot,,That’s what weakness does.

  • X24 hot

In Phoenix, sheep, the officials were asked and they RULED that What took place was within the rules. Just this year I watched Charles schwartzel in a tournament fake a stance closer to a sprinkler to get a drop. The rules official made the decision there too but it was clear the sprinkler wasn’t in the way. Our perception is sometimes not the same as the officials I guess but the fact is if they say ok then it is in fact ok.

  • James

How delusional, your name fits you. They are not writing this for Tiger, they are writing for all the Tiger fans like me. This is a celebration for his win. It’s not for haters like you.

  • Dave

Everything other than US arrogance suggests so, ask anyone in the world outside of America and the most you will hear from anyone is that the US Tour is marginally better.

American Tour has average players, European Tour has average players. Both tours have top players. It’s ignorance to not take into account European Tour wins, if you don’t then I can never take you seriously ever again.

  • How delusional

James wrote: “You people are pathetic.”

OMG, your are the kettle calling the pot black.
You Tiger lovers are the simple pathetic people that probably never held a golf club in your life and has never purchased a golf ball unless it had Tigers name on it. You James are the pathetic one.

  • James

Dave, I’m not saying that euro tour wins shouldn’t be counted. Just not the same as us tour wins. You yourself said that we are marginally better. That’s the only thing I’m saying.

  • X24 hot

Delusional- the say is the pot calling the kettle black. But I agree I don’t think tiger reads this. And I believe James plays a taylormade penta which would never have tigers name on it. If you want we could do “what’s in James’ bag”. But I’m pretty sure he’s a golfer.

  • Agree with Carol

X24 hot wrote: “In Phoenix, sheep, the officials were asked and they RULED that What took place was within the rules.

And that’s when I knew Tiger could get away with anything, even the officals would ignore and back his cheating. Terrible for the “History” of golf. Anything to get the TV rating up. He almost got away with cheating on his family and only regrets getting caught and would still today be screwing everything that walks, talks, crawls or moves. Heck, when Tiger walks into a room the fish stop swimming!!!

  • James

How delusional, Haters are pathetic. If you hate, then count yourself as pathetic.

  • X24 hot

Sorry the saying is the pot calling the kettle black.

  • James

Agree with Carol, you use the rules to your advantage. If you don’t then you are an idiot.

  • James

x24 hot, he didn’t want to sound racist, although he may be.

  • James

Agree with Carol,I hope he is screwing everything in sight. I know would if I could. Lucky man if you ask me. You some kind of prude?

  • Agree with Carol

I knew when you losers hear the truth and get stuck in a corner you’d flash the race card, you my friend are the pathetic one.

  • X24 hot

Agree- the question is why is that tigers fault? You guys think tiger is a god. He controls the minds and actions of the media and the officials. I already said there are no gods. And I gave you a current example of a player who used a ruling in his favor and you ignored it. And last I checked tiger got divorced and payed heavily to do that so know I think he can do who or what he wants. I’ve always said his big mistake was getting married.

  • James

Agree with Carol, may be, is not racist. No card played here. But pathetic, yes. Hate is pathetic.

  • James

Agree with Carol, You seem to be the one that is against the winner of the last tourny. So wouldn’t that make you the loser?

  • James

I think Agree with Carol should just be Carol so it would make it easier to type her name.

  • James

24x hot, I do play Taylormade clubs.

  • X24 hot

    I was close!

  • Brads

I’m glad all you misfits, wacko’s and T-Woo lap dogs are back and excited about 1012! I think it’s great for golf to have tiger “BACK”. But do me a favor, define “back”??? It will be great to see the new wave of young guns beat him…I’m all for it! In regards to MAJOR winner Keegan Bradley. His off week is in direct relation to his being stalked, in LA, by Brittany Spears and Lindsey Lohan all week. Just a rumor but he is a good looking kid and has these types of issues now!!!! Looking forward 2012 season and giving abuse to the misinformed GTP,HAO,x24 and the usual suspects!!!!

  • G T P

You my boy Brads! Good to see you back.

I’ll agree with you for once that Keegan’s butcher job at Sherwood doesn’t mean anything one way or the other. Single results like that just don’t have significance. But it’s just such a regular occurrence for Keegan one has to wonder.

But stalked by the starlets?! haha. It never ends with you. But those 2 nut jobs probably would go after a smirky faced, beady eyed, nephew tickling weirdo like Keegan.

Maybe they heard his shaft was longer than standard…

  • X24 hot

Brads- 20 shots. That is back biotch!!

  • eddy

Bradsy, look at Keegs’ results following his “Big Moment”, it’s sad, statistically identical (minus any t/10 perf) to his season leading up to Dufner’s Gift. Compare his post PGA CH/ship results to any number of players.

  • Brads

YA,YA,YA….I’ve heard the noise before….bottom line is Bradley is the ONLY PGA player under 30 yrs. old to have MULTIPLE WINS WITH A MAJOR…(forget about that it was accomplished in one year) you boys are going to have to face facts and start pulling for him….He’s all we have at the moment!!! What are you going to do root for Sean O’Hair!?!?!?

  • X24 hot

Here we go brads- he didn’t know the course, he was stalked, he was tired, the wind got him. How about you back super twink and keep coming up with reasons for his inconsistent play. You can have that cow brittney and the criminal lohan maybe that will toughen up you boy Keegan oh that’s another one he’s so young. All great excuses

  • Brads

YIPPEEEEEE FOR TIGER!!!! I’m giving out free chapstick for all the bumkissers!!!! We shall see….Keegan Bradley will be at the Ryder Cup…Will Tiger?????

  • JAMES

BRADS there you go again, how can you compare the euro tour with us tour. I go along with the two wins over here, but come on man.

  • IAN

Tiger, I could not leave my TV today. Keep up he good work, good luck and many more to the new year

  • G T P

    eddy and x24,
What do you think about my new nickname for Keegan?

    “Friday Night Flights”

  • X24 hot

I like it gtp but from now on when I refer to him when I’m talking to brads I will simply call him 10

  • BRADS

The PGA was here before him and it will be here after him, and there are alot of great players out there, that pull off tremendous shots, that deserve to be talked about other that TW.

  • G T P

    10 for missed cuts?

  • CAROL

Keegan is going to have an unbelievable year next year. Wouldn’t be at all surprised if he was a multiple winner again.

  • Santa

It was a little early but Dufner must have drawn Keegan’s name in the office Christmas gift exchange

  • X24 hot

Or shots over par last week your choice.

  • Josh

@Brad: please read your post again about Keegan having those girls chasing him. I think I see a parallel here between Keegan and Tiger, yet, you seem to be exalting Keegan and tearing down Tiger…..for the same thing?

Hypocrites, all of you hypocrites, you gonna pay the price one day (Bob Marley)

@Carol:I truly feel sorry for you. As to knowing where your husband is all the time, you need to stop been delusional.

Someone said in one of the comments above that the haters are hiding their true feeling…Well, Let me help them since they are jokers that can’t defend their sh**t. The reason they hate Tiger is Obvious. Tiger is perceived as a BLACK person (which he is, PARTLY)in a sport that has been historically white, and to top it all, he’s on top of their game. To them, it is an insult and so they will say anything and everything, even though, they make no sense, to justify their crap.

Nobody forces you to pay for the ticket to watch the tourny, so stop saying you paid Tiger. You didn’t do crap. You paid to go and see his and others’ talents on the golf course.

His personal failings are none of your business; and for those of you who kept on railing about the cameras always on Tiger. If you are in the show business that depends on ratings, would you keep your time on players that won’t give you the type of rating you are looking for?

This is strictly business. Tiger brings $$$$$ by bringing more eyeballs to the tube. Tell your players to put up or shut up. I love all golf players, but it is the excitement that keeps me watching or going to the tournamnets. It doesn’t matter whether the player bringing the excitement is white, black, european or american.

So, please, stop all these horsesh*t about Tiger and let us enjoy golf…or if you can’t do that, then go jump in the lake.

Tiger, Phil, Lee, Rory, Luke, Nick, Freddie and all of you, give us more excitement in 2012. The plot thickens with the “TIGER” waking from his slumber.

Like i’ve always said, when the cat is not around, the mouse moves freely.

To James (real), X24 Hot, Keith, Sridhar, Javi and all Tiger supporters….You Rock.

  • G T P

Carol – big predictions based on scant evidence. Something tells me you wouldn’t even know his name if Dufner didn’t serve it up to him.

“Who was that quirky fellow who bladed it in the pond when he had a chance? I wonder what he’s doing now.”

Do you think Paul Lawrie called him to welcome him to the club?

  • sean smith

guys are really getting worked up over Bradley. I am a huge golf nut I watch Golf Channel all the time I am up every weekend early watching the European Tour. I catch alot of grief from fellow golfers at work and guys I play with. I am a big fan of the European guys I think they are slightly better as they travel more and play on a wider variety of course designs and more adverse weather

  • CLAUSE

James.. You obviously love Tiger Woods.. And can’t accept any criticism that comes his way.. And before you say it.. I don’t hate him as a golfer. I will be one of the first to praise him if he does well in the future.. I have already lauded his past countless times. Golf only revolves around Tiger Woods in your eyes.. It’s ridiculous.

  • yohann

J’ai toujours su qu’il reviendrais, enfin le jour J, bravo tiger the best .

  • X24 hot

Clause- in defense of James – when he got caught the kicked him (rightfully so), when he was hurt they kicked him, when he played poorly the kicked him, when he started getting better they kicked him and now he won and they are still kicking the tournament and tiger. It smells to me like fear. They thought he was done but now see they were wrong and are scared he’s going to start spanking them all again. I think they are right about that last part.

  • BRADS

Keegan deserves all the hype and fame that has came his way. He is an excellent player. He won twice, one of which was a major. Sure, Dufner choked, but that shows how important that tournament was and how well Keegan kept it together. He triple bogeyed 15 and still battled back

  • eddy

@G T P, First let me apologize for borrowing “Dufner’s Gift”, it is just so appropriate I can’t come up with better. Thanks. As for “Fri. Night Flights”, the expression implies that Keegs will actually be earning enough to “Fly” from one venue to the next. Perhaps something along the lines of T.O.Y., “Trunk organizer of the Year”.

  • JAMES

The media wants to keep all the fans they can looking at the tourny for as long as possible. That means showing the only super in the field no matter what he is doing. That’s just the way it is. Half the people that watch Tiger don’t know any other golfer. Sponsors want as many people as possible watching no matter if know golf or not.

  • X24 hot

Brads -he seems to triple bogey a lot of holes

  • Josh

Brad didn’t win the game, Duff gave it to him….Period.

That’s not taking away from his abilities, but please don’t say he won because he was that good on that day. Duff gave it to him. In Tiger’s case, Zach did not give it to him, Tiger did what he had to to take it. Zach was excellent, just wan’t meant to be.

  • X24 hot

Sorry brads it was a quad on the 15th last week my mistake. What is it with him and 15th holes

  • G T P

I like it eddy. Unfortunately I think his tour daddy Phil probably lets him on the private jet. It must be tough sitting around the Super 8 Motor Inn all weekend waiting for Phil to finish his afternoon rounds on Sunday.

  • james

GTP….Do you think Luke Donald would trade all his useless top ten’s this year for a major…damn right he would! Top tens mean nothing to these guys except a few extra dollars…when will you get this thru that 28 handicap head of yours. you live a life off fantasy.

  • eddy

@G T P, you know as well as anyone that Keegs stays busy, knitting and pillow fluffing take up a significant part of Keegsy’s waking hours, I bet he’s fashioned some lovely muffs and mittens to keep HOFJAM warm and cozy on those bitter cold San Diego nights.

  • G T P

Knitting and pillow fluffing…you’ve been paying attention to my posts eddy! I hear Uncle Pat is coming out with a new winter golf apparel line…Keegan’s Kuddlys

    Haha, HOFJAM. Nice twist.

    James,
Way to repost somebody else’s words. Look, I’m objective and honest about this. For sure Luke would trade a mountain of top tens for a major. Keegan will be remembered for what he did but there’s no indication that he can sustain that level consistently, in fact quite the opposite is true at this point.

Do you think Luke Donald would trade his game for Keegan’s? Not a chance.

  • G.T.P.

shaun. Rory is the most overrated pro-golfer out their today. His driving under pressure is erratic at best, and he chokes on six foot putts like your grandma’s lawnmower.

Keegan also is a mediocre slob who got the PGA handed to him. He can’t hit a flop shot to save his life and he buckles under pressure like a Target brand folding chair.

  • G T P

Don’t be fooled by the imposter.

    There is only one G T P

  • x24 HOT

Keegan Bradley should have a good year in 2012. The other Top Golfers will have to keep looking over their shoulder to make sure where he is during the upcoming seaon.

He should be good for at least Two wins.

  • JAMES

Americans disrespect the European Tour time and time again. Yes, granted the US Tour use to be the dominant Tour but not now. They are more equal these days just look at the World Rankings and Europe winning 4 out of the last 5 Ryder Cup Tournaments….

  • BRADS

    GO KEEGS!!!!

  • G.T.P.

its his first year on tour for god sakes. It should be expected that he is going to miss cuts. He doesn’t have a knowledge of the courses. Knowledge of the course can make the difference of 1 or 2 strokes a round easily….which can be the difference of making or not making the cut. Give the kid a break…..in a couple of years when he actually has some knowledge of these courses see how many cuts he misses.

  • gail

WOW!! Kudos to Carol for figuring out exactly what Tiger was doing, thinking, etc… Everyone in the media should have just called her when this whole thing started to save time. Oh, and by the way, I’m sure Tiger is the only guy on the Tour who has cheated with another woman, right? If you’re writing off everyone who has, hopefully you’ll find one or two guys at every tournament to root for. Please, you’re not that naive, are you?

  • G.T.P.

gail You obviously love Tiger Woods..

  • G T P

    JAMES,
There’s a difference between comparing players or comparing tours. Yes, the top few players right now come from Europe (this changes fairly often) but most of them play the PGA Tour full time as well as the European Tour and in some cases only the PGA Tour.

But the overall strength and depth of the tours is still VERY different.

Do you know that 28 of the top 30 players in the world will carry a PGA Tour card in 2012?

The only exceptions to this are Martin Kaymer and K.T. Kim.

Only 11 of the top 30 will have status of any kind on the European Tour.

People, don’t be fooled by patriotic biases on either side of the Ocean.

(ps. I’m not American or European)

  • G.T.P.

gtp i know what you are its totally confused, i think you should go lie down . at least your comming around to my line off thinking. GO KEEGS!!!

  • shaun smith

GAIL get out off there !!!!! they are all mental.

  • Brads

HAHAHA….I love it…I wish it was this easy when I hook trout on my fly line!!!!

  • Brads

    GO KEEGS!!!

  • X24 hot

    Very cute little girls

  • X24 hot

Immitated but never duplicated. Brads you can try but you will never be me.

  • james

Big deal. So who did he beat . A tournament with 18 players, his chances were 18:1. Better odds than in Vegas. Nothing compared to what Rory did in Hong Kong or Westwood in Sun City. Well you Tiger jerks, let’s see how your boy holds up to real players.

  • Brads

I’m worried about you x24…Put some weight in those loafers of yours! In the meantime don’t forget to tune into the Shark Shootout…Bradley/Steele will be a tough team to beat! The Keegan Bradley World Domination Tour continueeeeees….

  • Brads

By the way I’m not the imposter…

  • G.T.P.

james Maybe 20 even 15 years ago, PGA Tour was the dominant tour. Not the case today as top 4 in the world are all European Tour players but PGA Tour fields are probably a bit deeper towards the back end. I am just glad Golf Channel covers European Tour events as they are great to watch!

  • Brads

    Go Keegs

  • gail

    this site is a joke

  • Brads

    You tell em’ gail!!!!

  • DG

    Josh
Thats just wrong. Tiger being black has nothing to do with anything. Ever notice that Tiger spits all over the course, throws clubs when he hits a bad shot, swears like a truck driver, ignores the existence of fans like you. You know if you and Tiger walked past each other on the street, he’d blank you. Just saying.
That would be if you could get past his ten bodyguards. He cheated on his wife with over 120 women. What sort of man does that? Just tell the wife that you don’t love her, especially when there’s a young child involved? One woman, two women at most is forgiveable. But 120 is just taking the p**S.
Then there’s the fact that he lost any sort of charisma he ever had around 2003. Making sarcastic and dry remarks to commentators after interviews and being a sore loser when he lost. At some stage just before the revelations about his private life, he became a media robot, unable to express any sort of emotion to the fans which adore him.
If you root for the guy, simply because he wins and you can gloat afterwards then that’s glory hunting, bandwagon jumping or whatever you want to call it. Good luck with that. Who will you jump to next, McIlroy? If you root for him for personal reasons then you’re an idiot. He’s simply not a likeable guy, sorry to break it to you through your rose-tinted gla*Ses.

  • son of octopus

my dad says that this site would not be a joke if gail took a long holiday. son of octopus

  • Carol

I agree, us, as parents, should be the role models for our children. But,people do look to the athlete’s as theirs. I do try my best and I for the most part have 3 great kids, who know right from wrong.

  • James 2

Shaun smith, the guy who said Tiger would never win again.

  • James 2

Carol, then they must know that you are wrong.

  • James 2

octopus, the guy with the eight brain cells.

  • James 2

Brads, the guy with his nose up Keegan’s butt.

  • James 2

Looks like the whole crew is here.

  • Carol

To I agree with Carol; Thank you so much. I had forgotten about the boulder until you mentioned it. I knew there were some people out there that would.

  • Carol

How right you are Agree with Carol. Everything you said is true.

  • Carol

James, I dont hate Tiger; I just dont like him, not because he cheated, just because of what he is and always was, and that is he was always a jerk before the scandal and it was just confirmed afterwards. I knew he wasnt all that and his actions proved it. So, the harder he fell, the more I liked him because he was getting what he deserved. Do I want to see him recover, no i dont. And thats that.

  • Carol

James it is fine to do that if you are single, but when you have a family and a very faithful wife, then you just dont do it because you think you can get away with it based on who you are.

  • Carol

Brads, I am so glad to see someone else feel the way I do.

  • Carol

Josh I hate to burst your bubble about me being delusional about knowing where my husband is at all times, but it is true. I got a good man, a loving and loyal man. As for Tiger, He could be any color he wants, my feelings about him have nothing to do with the color of his skin.

  • Carol

    No gail, I am not.

  • Carol

Way to go DG!! Right to the point.

  • Carol

James 2, at least he only has his nose up there. Tiger has seats with names on them and now, one with yours too, it seems. It is a wonder he can walk, much less play golf.

  • X24 hot

Dg- talk about idiotic. One or two times cheating is ok? That could be the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. Do you really believe tiger is the only one cursing and spitting or throwing clubs on a course. All of those have been in golf much longer than tiger. Believe me Keegan Bradley wasn’t smiling and whistling and twirling his clubs on his way to 10 over last week but we will never know about what he did because his rounds weren’t on tv. Tiger gets much more coverage than the other guys. Once again they are guys who are trying to hit perfect shots for millions of dollars and you guys out there want only positive emotions or proper language when they make a mistake. Be realistic! And please tell your wife or girlfriend or boyfriend or husband that you don’t love them, if you cheat once and it sounds like you have or are planning on it, you are a cheater. quantity means nothing but you can still go do your job well.

  • X24 hot

And those of you who are offended by the language out there please just go into an American middle school or highschool and listen to your impressionable little babies for 5 minutes. Look on their Facebook and read their texts. Oh and maybe listen to yourselves sometimes. If you think your kids or anyone elses are getting their golf vocabulary from tiger well then you are all in carols sinking ship.

  • gail

Son of Octopus…nothing but admiration for sticking up for your dad. Don’t ever lose that, as there’s plenty of other folks, but only one dad!!

  • Josh

X24 – You amazed me with how you’ve been telling these Tiger haters the plain truth and they still refused to let it go. You have to realize by now that these people don’t hate Tiger because he screws around, that’s their excuse. They will NEVER admit that their problem is because he is BLACK and they think he owes them something. I will keep saying that because that’s the underlying factor. All the crap they kept coming up with are been done everytime, just like you pointed out, by other golfers….Spitting, cursing, throwing clubs, CHEATING, etc., but nooooo, they believe in their fantasy world that Tiger is the only one doing that on tour.

    It’s irritating.

  • son of octopus

my dad took me to the us masters in 2008. i was supporting tiger because he was the best player that i had ever seen. many patrons, mostly white, were supporting him bigtime. i do not think that his color is an issue. i tried to get his autograph after the final round but his minders knocked me to the ground and tiger called me nasty names. mr snedeker picked me up, dusted me off and gave me his glove. i know tiger was disappointed to finish second, but mr snedeker had just shot 77 after starting just 2 behind. i went home and ripped up all my tiger posters. my dad says that people have an unhealthy obsession with tiger woods.

  • X24 hot

Once again josh we agree. And son of octopus please, I know the story is a joke but lets play along. Why did you want the autograph? Could it be that your greedy daddy said you could, i don’t know, MAKE SOME MONEY WITH IT. That’s what really bothers me. For the price of a ticket you think you should get a personal meeting, a conversation and some piece of them that will make you money, and oh yeah they should entertain you with their golf too. Octopuses please hold your breath until it all happens.

  • son of octopus

X24 hot, your name sounds like you could be a golf ball. and those masters tickets were expensive, they cost an arm and a leg. for an octopus, that can be life-threatening.

  • Keith

The “Eye of the Tiger!” Cool!

  • calamari

    i give up !!!moderation!!!.

  • DG

    x24 hot

I never said that it was okay, I said that it was forgiveable. People make mistakes but 120 women is a mega mistake.

Josh, if you keep saying it is because he is black that doesnt make it right. It obviously isnt. Black players have a sympathy story that aids them more than anything. Thats how Woods got so much support in his early career. Because he was a black guy kicking white guy a55. The reason people don’t like him is because he is a guy with little to no cla** whatsoever

  • Deryck

Again, I expect that before he is 39 years old he will have 20 Majors. That will be AN ADDITIONAL “6 of the next 12″ and including a “CALENDAR YEAR SLAM”. Just, WAIT & SEE!

  • hao

for what its worth here are my euros ratings at this moment.
    westy
    donald
    garcia ?
    Mcilroy
    kaymer
Mcdowell equal short game to donald & long way in front off the others.

  • rd mclain

i don’t see tigers victory as such a big deal. its not even a pga sponsored event and its not like he was playing against the best players in the world.

  • son of octopus

hao, your euro ratings are worth nothing. you have rated garcia above mcilroy, this act of insanity proves what my dad says about you. you are a lunatic.

  • Hao

tell your dad i’ll make calamari out off him when he returns from disneyland. good to see he left the mature one at home.

  • Richard (South Africa)

Great stuff – It’s not the “Distance” that counts but the “Determination” in getting there. A huge boost for Body and Soul. Will be watching closely as U climb the ladder again and getting nearer the record margins….

  • Allen Kemple

    Please stop e mails ADK

  • ap

Got your mouth all open again. Mikey tell you to do that

  • mc

I’m pleased Tiger is playing better. I hope he’s learned that he can’t just do anything he wants to. There are consequences, as he is well aware.

  • Allen Kemple

    Please no more Tiger ADK

  • Allen Kemple

No more Tiger Please A D

  • Lawrence Morris

You’re back Tiger!!! Take no prisoners!!!!

  • lhyson660

I’m as glad as any Tiger fan that he won at Chevron, but you have to wonder…did Z. Johnson miss that putt on purpose? Or did Tiger’s “aura” finally creep on the green? I guess we will see in 2012. I can’t wait for Dubai. I think it’s a good test for him. And it will add to his first victory courses. Go Tiger!!!

  • Casey Friend

Carol: Jealous. You should be lucky enough to be good looking enough to be thought about by him. Congrats to the best ever, the youngest, winningest so early, etc.
