First-round tee times announced

KAPALUA, Hawaii – Tee times for Friday’s first round of the Hyundai Tournament of Champions have been released. CLICK HERE for latest tee times.

With 28 players in the field paired in twosomes, that means there are 14 groups set, with the first one schedule to start at 3:35 p.m. ET (10:35 a.m. local time)

Among the notable groups:

Brendan Steele, Jhonattan Vegas (4:25 p.m. ET) – Two rookie winners last year

Mark Wilson, Bubba Watson (4:55 p.m. ET) – Wilson will defend at the Sony Open in Hawaii next week; Watson hit a spectacular driver off the deck last year here

Keegan Bradley, David Toms (5:05 p.m. ET) – What will Bradley do for an encore this year?

Gary Woodland, Steve Stricker (5:15 p.m. ET) – The big-hitting Woodland says the course sets up great for him.

K.J. Choi, Aaron Baddeley (5:25 p.m. ET) – Hopefully they won’t spend too much time rehashing the International team’s loss at The Presidents Cup.

Webb Simpson, Nick Watney (5:35 p.m. ET) – Hopefully they won’t spend too much time rehashing last year’s PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup.

Jonathan Byrd, Bill Haas (5:45 p.m. ET) – The defending Hyundai champ and the reigning FedExCup champ.

Which twosome are you most interested in following?

Worst field ive ever seen! Who gives a crap about Bubbas driver off the deck! Hes a cry baby!!

Youll never hear about Vegas and Steele again. Toms, Stricker, Hass, Glover, and Byrd only decent players at the tournament.

  • Brads

Bradley and Toms is a comfortable pairing… Both on Team Cleveland/Srixon and have played well in same group before

  • 007

Keegan Bradley and David Toms, young and not-so-young, should be interesting just because of the age difference.

K.J. Choi is the one I will be keeping my eye on, to win.

    Let the games begin.

Woodland and Stricker will be fun. Being from Kansas I have to route for Woodland.

Why is Gary Woodland considered a young future star when he is 5 (FIVE) years older than US Open Champion and World Number 2 Rory McIlroy. He has 1 win in his career and the gray hairs are coming…

  • Trish

I will be so proud to cheer for Steve Stricker.
What a class act he is and it is great he is
with another class act, Gary Woodland. One of
these nice guys could finish first.

Gary Woodland. He may be 5 years older, but don’t underestimate his ability. Remember he was playing basketball, and quite well I might add, just a few years ago.

  • t clark

Jonathan and Bill Hass. A great pairing for two pros from the Upstate of South Carolina. I expect they will both play well.
