please tell me tigers replacement is not amongst this mob.I have been hearing names like bradely..spider..ishikawa..noh..bae..cauley..kim. I gave some of you guys credit for having half a brain, but now Iam starting to wonder…suppose you still have RORY AND DONALD to cling to but be warned its not looking to good for you bashers at present. cheers

  • Ron Arendtson

Matt Every is a jerk! Something needs to be done for his behavior during the interview after his round. Most unprofessional interview ever!

  • Robb

“most unprofessional interview ever”? Because he talked about getting arrested and he was a bit cocky? All pro golfers are cocky. So what? Ron, smoke a bowl and lighten up. Sheesh.

  • sandbelt

what are you on about, hao?

there is nobody out there to replace tiger. nobody! the guy is a once in a lifetime player, one of the best two all time.

donald to replace tiger? nobody said that, surely.

rory to replace tiger? not as the superstar, but maybe as a future number one with a few majors to his credit.

who said anything about replacing tiger? the big questions are “will tiger return to the top”, “will he dominate like before”, “will he catch jack”.

most of us have half a brain….. i hope.

  • sandbelt

i see my mate davis love 111 missed the cut.

i suppose we will endure 30 minutes in the interview room with davis, penetrating questions about the ryder cup no doubt.

show the golf, i’m on the edge.

  • ANDY

its about time Stricker started to back up wins the following week….this guy has a long history of performing badly the week after every win..how can he claim to be tired after a xmas break and 4 days golf in maui?

  • sandbelt

if stricker falls apart, blames his neck or whatever…….

i am on the edge today.

    sorry.

  • hao

SANDBELT what are you on about now ? who said there going to interview love for 30 minutes or do you just make this stuff up.

  • Feel Sorry

You have to feel sorry for Matt Every. Falsly arrested 2 years for a case (that was then dropped) and getting an undeserved 3 month ban because of it causing him to lose his card.

Shows guts to head back to the Nationwide Tour and get his card back straight away again.

And then on his first event back on the PGA Tour since that tormented season he had he leads after 2 rounds, and Kelly ‘idiot’ Tilghman proceeds to question him about something that he was falsely accused of 2 years ago.

What was he meant to say? “Oh yeah, am, well I didn’t do anything wrong and the case was dropped because of that, but the PGA Tour decided to make up some rule and ban me, almost ruining my career. It’s great that, because of them, this will follow me for the rest of my life.”

  • Feel Sorry

  • X24 hot

Feel sorry- if that is the case then yes answer the question! Why don’t these guys just do that and squash any doubt. In fact he said there are worse things going on than what I did. Implying that he did in fact do something. So which is it, was it a false accusation or did he get caught? Or just say I’m in a better place now let’s move on. Don’t blame the interviewer for his unease, he put himself in the situation. ACCOUNTABILITY.

  • mike miller

do any of you tards not realize that Kelly does NOT pick the ?’s to be asked? That is done by a producer. Damn, you americans prove your ignorance on a daily basis.

  • Donald

I don’t feel sorry for him. He broke the law, got banned for three months, lost his card, got it back. First tournament back….judging by his interview he didn’t learn a thing. That or he was stoned and he couldn’t come up with anything decent to say. Wouldn’t surprise me if messes up again. Grow up

  • Brads

    KEEGAN…KEEGAN…KEEGAN!!!

  • Donald

Mike miller, you are a douche. I have a name and so does feel sorry but he decided not to share his. We are not ignorant Americans. Did you misread what was said? Never once said any pro American agenda but you have to say something anti American. Where are you from so I may insult your nationality?

  • X24 hot

Brads- do you really think 3 under is going to catch anyone? He’s going to have to go really low to have a chance over the weekend.

  • X24 hot

Donald- mikes post was up before yours on my phone. So he wasn’t responding to you.

  • Donald

I know x24, just sick of nationality bashing.

  • X24 hot

Ok I just laugh at that stuff. It really means nothing. There are ignorant people everywhere. We don’t hold the trademark!!

  • Donald

Haha true. Matt really messed up though. I hope it doesn’t open a whole can of worms and taint the game or the tour.

  • X24 hot

I think he’s like anyone who gets caught in a compromising position these days. Instead of standing up and saying, yes I made a mistake, he points the finger at anyone else he can find. I don’t think it will start anything unless he comes out with something factual. But I hope your right and it just goes away.

  • Jerry

Some of the worse things happening on tour that Matt Every was on about:

Phil Mickelson owing over $10 million to Las Vegas bookies and having an illegitimate child with a black woman in Ohio that he doesn’t recognise.

  • X24 hot

Ok I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt there. I really don’t care if people want to smoke pot but if you are going to be interviewed and you agree to do it then have some answers ready. He couldn’t even answer questions about his round 30 minutes earlier. I just looked back at your post, why couldn’t he say that the police made a mistake? And if you can’t say that why try to point the finger at others on the tour? To me he came off like a loser but I don’t know him.

  • X24 hot

Jerry- why did you say “a black woman” does it make it worse that she is black? I think your racism is leaking out.

  • Jerry

Not racist X24 hot, just saying what the American media were saying. Skin colour doesn’t matter to me, I had an ex who had a very similar background to Tiger (black father, asian mother). My god I miss her…

  • Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds

Check out my self titled album, I think you might enjoy it. I’m the guy that wrote ‘Wonderwall’ back in the 90s, for anyone that doesn’t remember me.

My new album has sold over half a million copies in the UK alone since its release in October, and is still around the top 10 in the charts.

  • wazza

Matt Every was a joke the way he responded in the interview. I have no sympathy for him. Break the law – suffer the consequences.

  • Brads

X24 what r u yapping about? He’s 4 shots off the lead! (really 2 shots off…every won’t hold up). If his putter heats up he’ll be tough to beat…

  • noddy

x24 there is no way I would agree to an interview without having a script written by you …or you by my side.your the man.

  • Just Predicting the Future

I bet every hold on and ends up defeating Kyle Stanley in a playoff

  • sandbelt

after 5 rounds into 2012 i think it reasonable to suggest that webb simpson is not a one season wonder. he doesn’t have your cla$$ic swing and his putting stroke looks a bit quick and short, but the guy is a “shoot in the sixties” machine.

whether he can maintain that standard is another story, but he looks to have become a guy that can get the ball in the hole. he is a smart player, very rarely doing anything dumb.

a major this year is not beyond him, the masters would be the least likely.

  • Jake

Webb Simpson is tied 57th at one of the weakest PGA Tour events you will see all year.

  • X24 hot

Once again noddy it’s “you’re” not “your” keep trying though. You will be taught noddy. And brads IF my putter heats up I’ll be tough to beat too. He’ll heat up to about 10 under 5 shots out of first. That’s all the yapping for tonight.

  • Brads

    X24…OK it’s a tall order but if Bradley shoots 65 he’ll win…

  • hao

brads I think nothing higher then 63 and even then it would be tight.

  • X24 hot

Holy cow brads that’s the first time I have seen you come at us with a reasonable post about Keegan. It is a tall order and he won’t fill it this week. But, in your favor he is 1 for 1 in cuts made so far this year and will most likely get a top 10. A good start for your boy this year.
