Got a question for D.A. Points? Send us your questions for Direct Connect — PGATOUR.COM’s newest video franchise that gets you closer to a PGA TOUR pro each week — and host John Swantek might use it when he chats this week with Points, who is the defending champ at this week’s AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.

Points was also the partner of actor Bill Murray, who won the Pro-Am portion of the tournament last year for the first time since he began playing in the event in 1992. Points and Murray will renew their partnership this week.
Just fill out the form below and you might get an answer from Points.
Direct Connect video will be posted each Wednesday afternoon on PGATOUR.COM
D. A.
Congratulations on a GOOD 2012 start and best wishes this week. As an old neighbor and golfing buddy of Bob Neal (1970′s), have followed your pro career for a long time.
What did you take away from your week in Phoenix? You were near the top in strokes under par but also near the bottom in strokes over par.
Jim
Dear D.A.,
Great season so far this year! M question is if you are returning to the John Deere, what nights will you need Duck City reservations?
You know I’ll always have a spot for you as a fellow Illini and Duck City fan! Just let me know and well have only the best for you, as always. Good luck defending your win!
How much fun was it to play with Bill Murray? Did he make it easier to take your mind off of the nerves of trying to win for the first time?
Do you remember playing in the Little Peoples tournament at Detweiler in Peoria? You played with my son and I have been a fan of yours ever since. I follow you on shot tracker every week.
DA we loved eeting you in Australia all those years ago for the Nationwide events. Wewere so pleased to see how your career has progressed. Can you envisage a trip downunder as part of your schedule over the next few years
With a great start to 2012, you appear to be on the verge of your second PGA Tour win. Do you feel that there is pressure on you this year at Pebble Beach as the defending champ, or do you feel that you can use last year’s experience to your advantage?
D.A.
Congratulations on your’ nice career so far on the PGA tour. I grew up in the Peoria area and it is always nice to see someone from that area do well.
I know you went to Pekin High School. Was your’ high school golf coach Marshall Stoner? I played basketball in college with Marshall and graduated from Limestone High School. I wish you continued success. Rooting for 2 in a row at Pebble Beach.
Hi D.A.
I am a vendor for Pekin Country Club, that is a nice picture they have of you there.
I,m a friend of Denny Sullivan also and we follow you and cheer for you on the PGA website. They don’t show you on T.V. unless you are in the top 6 or something. Let’s see a repeat at Pebble.
Who is the best player you have ever played with?
Who gets to buy dinner when you & Bill Murray WIN again this year? Could you please thank him for me, for the greatest walk of my life, down Pebble Beach 18 with him, watching Jeff Sluman win by 5 strokes? Thanks & have a FANTASTIC week. I’ve been watching GroundHogs day over & over to send you both luck. :) Sincerely Kim Adele Hastert
Hey D.A, which of the 3 courses in play this week is your favorite and why?
Hey DA, are you as frustrated with Illini basketball as some of us are? What do you think is wrong with this team?
I remember playing golf with you in high school. I went to Springfield High School and Lick Creek was always my favorite course to play. Holes 5, 6, and 7 were awesome and as difficult as they come.
My question(s) to you are: What three consecutive holes are most difficult to you?? What three consecutive holes are your favorite to play??
Thanks and Good Luck to you in 2012!!!
Darren, great playing last year hope you still have those hole out’s in you for this weekend. Im a 0 handicap, just wondering how to get my game to the pro level, and how did you practice when you were a teenager.
Thanks Darren, all the best Rich
Hi DA, what is your favorite club in your bag??
what do u think is the best way to lower you hanndicap
D.A. Keep up the solid play, your breakthrough is coming. I am from central Illinois and was wondering how Tifanny is doing. Keep rolling the SeeMore and have a great week.
I know you’ve been with your caddy for several years now. How can a player’s relationship with his caddy impact how they play? Are there players out there who get more out of that relationship than others?
D.A.
Why is Illinois so
in the tank for
someone who has given
them $6 TRILLION in
new DEBT?
D.A. How often do pros change their golf ball during a round ?
D.A., how difficult is it to get up early in the morning to finish a round, as at the Phoenix Open, and then wait to see if you make the cut. Good luck this week.
D.A. would you consider letting someone who can only walk a mile, be your caddy for a day? I could ride a segway. Hope your family is doing fine.
Hi D.A.i am spending this winter in the L.A. area helping Andy Williams with his cancer recovery. Hope to see you at the at Riviera C.C. next week. Good luck this week at the AT&T, we will be watching. Say hello to your mom and dad for me. Denny
D.A. – what are the extra burdens a defending champion faces when trying to be a repeat winner at an event (other than those he would face in any other week on TOUR, such as the need to play good golf and the depth of current fields)?
How would you feel if you were tied for the lead on the tee on the 72nd hole with Tiger this week .Nervous or motivated.
Have you ever been paired with Rickie Fowler, or even played a practice round with him? If so, is he as much fun to be around as it appears to us viewers? Good luck this week – hope you can keep Bill on a short leash!
D.A. I REMEMBER HITTING RANGE BALLS NEXT TO YOU AT lICK CREEK IN PEKIN WHEN YOU WERE A SKINNY KID IN H.S. AND HAD WON NUMEROUS PEORIA JUNIOR TOURNAMENTS—AT THE TIME THERE WERE SEVERAL VERY GOOD JUNIOR PLAYERS YET YOU MADE IT TO THE PGA TOUR AND THEY DID NOT. WHATS THE SECRET? Is it never giving up—maybe not being so smart that you don’t understand the odds are stacked against you—or is it coaching—-hitting thousands of balls or playing in junior tourn. etc. my nephews want to follow in your footsteps—they have talent but what can i do—they are both under 10yrs old. Good luck–dan borg retired starter Madison golf course. P.s. I also remember you picking up balls on range at kellogg–who woulda thought you may someday win Masters and Open (in same Yr.)
What did you do in the off-season (Nov, Dec) to prepare for this year’s PGA Tour? Did you make any tweaks to your swing or putting or make any equipment changes? Whatever you did seems to be working, you’re off to a great start!
(As a fellow PCHS alum, I’ve followed your career since you’ve been on the Nationwide Tour. Good luck for the rest of the year!)
