Just wondering! Is Tiger Woods the only one playing in this tournament?

  • Scott

    Annie4 – no….mike weir is also playing

  • Scott

    just not very well

  • World Golf

So, no articles for Padraig or VJ? Even though the two of them have a much better chance at taking over the lead, especially VJ who is still to play MP.

You know what’s hilarious? We have dozens of people here complaining about how much blathering coverage Tiger gets, while a report on Nick Watney’s round garners all of one reply.

  • MARK 111

If Chopra can repeat some of his Aces this week, he will be worth watching?

Rickie should be ready for a victory at the Beach this week.

Woods has lost the “Tiger” in himself since his last win 2 1/2 years ago at the BMW Championship, so don’t expect him top the Leaderboard because he is not 100% healthy yet. The best you can expect from “Meow” Woods this week is to see him past Mickelson in the OWGR rankings when the points are given out on Sunday.

Tiger woods will not win this tournament for sure

It doesn’t matter how many comments an article gets. 95% of the comments in Tiger’s articles are completely irrational.

This is THE TOUR report and as such there should be articles covering the player in the first page of the leaderboard.

Looks like America’s next GREAT young hope Rickie Fowler is living up to his “potential”!

He is 2 strokes ahead of David Duval so things are going very well.

    Can you spell O-V-E-R-A-T-E-D ???

  • Sean Smith

Tiger Woods shoots 2 rounds of 68 in very easy conditions. The first round the excuse was “his iron play let him down”. The 2nd round it was “he didn’t make any putts”. What’s going to be the excuse today if Woods shoots around 68 again? His driving was slightly off and he couldnt hit his irons close enough? His energy drink was “spiked”? Give me a break!

Tiger Woods has absolutely ZERO chance of winning this tournament this week.

The REAL tournament this week, yet again, is on the European Tour in Dubai anyway. World number 2,3 and 4 are playing in it and all 3 of them are right up there in contention. Far stronger field than this Pebble event.

  • Sean Smith

Good start by the once great Tiger Woods, +1 thru 3 and driven in the rough on 13.

  • dreamer

    Sean, can you spell overrated?

  • Sean Smith

It’s just killing you Americans inside how most weeks nowadays the European Tour has a stronger field than your own, as much as you hate to admit it. I guess it’s to be expected since we have 3 of the top 4 players in the world right up there with a chance of winning the prestigious tournament in Dubai this week.

  • Sean Smith

The Farmers Insurance at Torrey and Pebble Beach are usually 2 of the bigger events on the US PGA Tour but this year they have played second fiddle to Abu Dhabi and Dubai on the European Tour.

The random nature of Golf is a curious thing, Dubai is full of elite trenders, and Ben Curtis is t/9 @ -12. Interesting to see how that turns out. As for Rory, I would not be surprised if he carded 62, nor would I be surprised if he missed some crucial short ones down the stretch. Westy? Golf, go figure…

  • TIGER

SEAN PAY ME ANOTHER $3M and i’ll be there next week, gotta love that euro money.

Mcilroy will never be known as the best: the 4 shot lead & MORE IMPORTANTLY 82 final round will never leave him. that being said lets give him 20 majors… whats the cv say; he beat the past his prime old tiger woods {as many have stated} but wait lets leave tiger out of the equasion and look at the rest of the opposition, keegs ricky spider day ishy cauley sneds manaserro bubba kim bae mahan. surely you don’t want yo name watney or justin after there failures allready.I clearly remember about 5 years ago everyone was wondering how many majors scott would win I’LL leave it up to you guys to look that one up. now that we have established the so called super players comming thru can anyone match up the past rivalrys of tigers; els phil vj paddy sergio westy goose choi cabrera ect ect with rorys present and future youg guns.I know its a little hypothetical but give it a try . or you could try jacks opposition to rorys it just might stop a few critics from getting ahead of themselves.cheer

sean sign me up now or 2 more birdies the price doubles.

@ TIGER – Tiger Woods hasn’t won at Pebble Beach yet. Have you forgotten what happened in the final round in Abu Dhabi already?

    I’ll remind you incase you forgot;

It was the biggest decline of a player’s game I have ever seen from 1 round to the next.

TW shot a flawless 66 in round 3 then followed it up on Sunday with just 4 fairways and 6 greens in a struggling round of even par 72.

I’m not saying the score itself was a decline as 72 sometimes gets the job done on Sunday, but the manner in which Tiger played on Sunday is what I am referring to.

Round 1-3 averaged 10 fairways and 16 greens.
Round 4 hit 4 fairways and 6 greens and it really wasn’t that windy.

This tournament isnt over yet, TW will probably lead going into Sunday the way he’s playing so far today, but after Abu Dhabi and Australia I have my doubts whether or not Tiger can finish off Sundays the way he use to.
